I am sure she would not be linking arms with him in the coming days, months, and years. As to understanding that her grandson has learned a lot about life and acquired a maturity, I hope so too. Alex would receive counselling and his grandma might be invited to attend too. But you know, even in normal circumstances, we all make the mistake of treating our children, nieces/nephews, grand kids like children even though they have grown-up. If kids his age would act and sound the way he does, the world may become a nicer place. Maybe if we threw away our cellphones and went back old school, we’d learn to interact and communicate more with everyone and possibly we as a society would come together rather then be so far apart. Good luck to him and his future endeavors.

I agree very much with your assessment. I'm fairly certain the lack of influence that comes with cell phones and social media, along with the lack of interaction with peers during such a vital period of personal growth for a young person, is precisely why he's turned out the way he has.
Influences that I believe are a large part of the destructive force that's bringing so much ruin to society and people's humanity.
