Love it 100% I walked in a gym with guys full of qualifications, bu no personality or creativity, lacked confidence and asked me to advise a client on doing a correct lift , because all they had was academic no hands on either it has to be in person . But yeah certifications means crap without the above . Hence I get clients come to me and say I learned nothing from other trainers .
What's the point of coming up during the lying leg curl while lowering the weight? Just get less of a stretch that way, shortening at the hip while lengthening at the knees
Actually doing it this way creates an environment of constant tension on the hamstrings. The tension on the hamstring is what’s pulling Val up. She keeps her hips pinned to the bench to minimize anterior pelvic tilt and therefore the hammies and constantly under tension
@@MikeVanWyck so purposefully trying to keep her in a more shortened position then, and staying in the hamstring range instead of the calves kicking in?
@@MikeVanWyck the hamstrings would be fully shortened when you achieve hip extension and knee flexion By keeping her upright during the eccentric you're letting her knees extend (so lengthening the hamstring), but are actually shortening the hamstrings or keeping it shortened at the hips. That's where I don't get the benefit of doing it this way. You're limiting the stretch at the hips, so basically lengthening at one end but almost shortening at the other. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to understand! 😄

Don't agree how the leg curls is done
