We've had the H5 and the H7 from NZXT but for those wanting even more space, and something of a showstopper build, they've now released the H9 Flow and Elite range of cases, and I've got to admit, it's absolutely gorgeous.

Will you be picking up the H9 Flow?
Absolutely. I own a 510 and my main gripe is with cable management, especially after getting psu extensions, i cant even close the damn thing anymore. I prefer flow since the elite is overpriced, offers cheap looking rgb fans and that top panel really makes no sense to me and i feel its gonna kill thermal performance.
I'm not a RGB kind of guy. I got the H7 flow. All black
Hell yeah, he is gorgeous and full back with white RGB should be incredible
Hell no, why in the hell would I pay more for a ripoff of an O11D that has worse thermals? If we keep letting NZXT think it's ok they're never going to make better airflow cases
Just ordered one of this. Gonna have to sell my 4000D air flow
They should charge less and not include any fans because we either already have fans or don't like the ones included
Agreed. These companies need to stop including crappy fans with their cases. I lost count how many garbage 3 pins fans I got.
@@epicmike3915 probably enough to build a hovercraft 😂
they know you want this so they refuse to do it because they'll get more money
i used my fans from the hyte y60 as decor. its a good use if you want something from them
I will use my trusty Noctua's.
Nice case. It looks similar to my Thermaltake View 51. I love big double chamber cases. So it's good to see NZXT has one. That's said the cases I like most at this year's CES was the Thermaltake CTE C750 and Phanteks NV7. The more room for custom loops the better.
I'm really interested in seeing how those big CTE cases perform. They look like they'd have insane potential for air movement.
@@Metaris I agree. And they look like they have plenty of space for dule custom loops. That's something that my current View 51 doesn't have.
It would be nice to see a distro plate on the front. Like the case, I would love to see what people come out for custom loops
Thanks for this video. I was on the fence between this and the HAF 700... I'm going to go with the HAF purely as I am an avid gamer and the temps seem to be managed far better - no doubt due in part to its larger size/more fans.
Does the top air exhaust cycle back to the back of the case? Hence side intake tends to draw in warm air?
Did you test all of the cases with the stock fans, or with the best possible fan config for each case?
Does it come with a vertical GPU mount? Curious which mount that is if not
Hey why do you have the cooling system fans (radiator) pointing inside?
can you show what the cable management looks like in a full build? Also with the noise test are you using same fans in all systems at same RPM?
I returnd my o11 evo for this case love that I did
How is the air flow of this case coMpared with h9 dynamic evo? And would the airflow/temp improve if you remove the top panel's filter?
Does this fit a 4080 horizontally? I have a Lian li o11 but there’s no way I can fit my 4080 in it with the side panel on.
Can it fit push-pull config on the top of the case?
You all are running the wrong fan intake config which is why getting bad temps on H9 Flow.
The side fans are horrible for intake because of their placement. However they are perfect for exhaust instead. (exhaust has no flow impedance unlike intake which just hits the case wall)
Keep Side + Top(AIO) as exhaust.
Put Rear and Bottom as intake.
Now check the results.
Are you sure cause won’t that create a negative airflow? And also idk if u know but can u fit a push pull aio config on top in this case
Does his vertical mounted 360mm rad have the fans mounted as Exhaust or inatake?
This case is the best so far for this type of design. It's a no brainier. H9 flow ftw.
I have always been a fan of NZXT cases, my current PC is in a h710. I have ordered the H9 Flow in black for my new PC build :). Agree with you on the fans, I would happily pay a little bit extra to get the RGB fans with the case, maybe a H9 Flow+…
How come my exhaust fans and bottom dont have lights ?
I'm interested in h9 elite model. Have you compared temperatures between flow & elite?
Should i use my water cooler vertical like this or top? Ppl say up position is better for circulation. What you think boss
Does the fans that come with the case have rgb or did you buy some and replace them?
Are the radiator hoses mounted upside down?
Can you get the black with clear glass?
Awesome review. Can I ask if it is compatible if I do push and pull AIO configuration on top mount?
What are the fans installed in the case???
The painel front is really glass or plastic? Style h510 elite dude?
Where do you put the hardrive
Thanks for the early coverage. It's hard to avoid the knee-jerk feeling to make fun of an obvious o11 clone. There's just a lot of them. I like this case upon first impression at least.
Did he say watch for motherboard ? Will a b650 msi tomahawk fit in it ?
Im planning a build and this case is what Im looking for.. Though the fan situation is a little bit of a let down. Going for an all white build im gonna have to buy 7x extra rgb fans, which is gonna be pretty pricey.
Yeah, I’m in a similar situations but I need a get 4 more fans… BUT THEY HAVE TI BE CORSAIR! $$$$$$$$😢😢😢😢😢😢
@@DutchDriverr In the end I picked up the case with 10 additional lian li rgb infinity fans.. Yes it was very expensive but really worth it.. My build looks so beautiful now!
@@MaximusProxi can you post it on your channel if you have one? Would love to see it!
Amazing 👏👏
Does anybody know what graphics card that is ?
since i'm going to have a 4090 in my new build in this case do you think I should add 3 fans to the bottom?
The case can fit 3 120mm fans or 2 140mm fans in the bottom, ive even seen someone add a 420mm aio in the bottom. Considering the size of the case its a option of what you like more 3 fans with better cooling but more sound or 2 fans with slightly less cooling and less sound
Hello! I bought the same case (H9 Flow) and I’m going to buy some rgb fans, how did you connect the fans and how many interfaces did you have to use to connect the 7 case fans?
Did you figure it out bro gonna buy this pc setup soon
So if i understand it correctly, if you want all NZXT RGB fans, you should go for the Elite because three fans included in the Flow version are not RGB? And you get a controller with the Elite also, which you probably need two anyway if you want to pack the case with NZXT fans.
Which GPU braket are you using?
What is the GPU in that case please?
Which vertical mounting bracket was used? i wanna get one for my h9 flow aswell
NZXT’s own one.
@@eTeknix i appreciate this quick answer!
Nice intro with Xzibit😄😄😄
What's a good vertical mount for a 4080 I can use in this case? I've never mounted a GPU vertically so I'm not even sure what I'm looking for and also wanna make sure it will fit in this case. ( Preferably something not too expensive) spent a lot on my GPU today lol
@Moritz thanks I ended up looking at that on NZXT's website and it said it was for the h7 so I wasn't sure and they were sold out but I do see one on Amazon for like 90 bucks. But I feel like if anything it would be even hotter if I vertically mounted it. Because right now it has direct air flow on the GPU from all the fans on the bottom of the case but once I vertically mount it nothing will be pushing into the GPU fans but I definitely love the look of it better that way so I'll probably have to end up picking one up eventually. But damn this new h9 case is phenomenal. I got a 4080 and it runs at 45C max load My old 6,900 XT used to hit 110 c playing COD not even maxed out so I'm so much happier I decided to switch and can't recommend this case enough. Super easy to build in.
@Moritz yeah you got to get some nice fans that have the LED rings on both sides or that just light up the clear bands so you can see it from both sides. But I agree with you I definitely hate that I'm looking at the little back circle piece of the fan lol not to mention this case is massive. I like those new and ZXT fans they look real nice but you can't daisy chain them so that ruled them out for me. I got some cheap fans on Amazon a five pack for 30 bucks called uphere. They're pretty good but you can't control the fan speed so you got to make sure you have them on one of the headers of the motherboard that will control them. But I found out what this case it stays so cool that it actually is cold on my legs so I'm going to move it from under my desk somewhere else lol
could you compare the H9 to the Corsair 5000D? Which should I get for my upcoming build?
My 5000D Airflow is amazing but thinking whether I should change to a H9 Flow when I upgrade to 13900k next month
biggest question, how flush dose the glas side sit to the glas front, dose it suck air and dust in? i bet it dose.
U good bro?
i am so happy they did not take nzxt rgb fans in the flow case. i just bought it, and since im gonna use lian-li infinity 120 rgb fans, i dont need another intigrated rgb controller thats not gonna be used in my pc case. other than that i really enjoyed this vid, thanks =)
is there enough room to do push pull+radiator at the top?
I think that if you put the upper row of fans on top of the support grid, it could be done. But with all fans inside the box that option is blocked by the edge of the glassy cable cover.
Which case would you rec right now ?
nah, I still prefer Lian Li EVO, because we can adjust the layout we want, normal or inverted/reverse build, and additional useful accessories, especially the upright GPU which other brands don't have, makes the GPU tidier and the better air flow for GPU and Radiator.
plus if you use a lian li case, it will be more perfect if you use a lian li fan, which is stackable and doesn't need a lot of cables.
I think I’ll get this one as it’s a decent amount less vs the o11
I'd prefer a case with no fans - I'll buy my own fans in packs of 3 or 5. This way there's less waste and case can be a bit cheaper.
"The Haetch 9"
I wish they'd rotate the motherboard 90* so that our giant gpu's wouldn't hide our pretty motherboards, nice review also.
Does it come with the verticals gpu mount?
From what I read. It not included
@@ddogbeast9412 thank you
I just purchased the H9 Flow to replace my PC-O11D razer. When it arrives I'll be transplanting my Z690 system with custom cooling loop. I am happy the H9 Flow doesn't come with expensive RGB fans that I won't use. Very considerate of NZXT. Another RUclips channel suggested NZXT sell an H9 Flow RGB fan kit as a single SKU for the cost delta between the Elite and Flow. Seems like a great suggestion so enthusiasts that don't ride the RGB train have an option.
Fish tank case or aquarium case?
Is it worth the money to upgrade from a H7 Flow to the H9? My reason for thinking about doing this is so I can have 3 extra fans mounted on the bottom to blow more cool air onto my 4080 OC GPU. What do you think?
Exactly what i thought. Did you upgrade?
I kept the one I had. It is working good and I read that it actually has better thermals due to the non glass vented front. I mounted 3 fans there and they blow right on the 4080.
Are the f120q fans good?
💜
How do you think GPU will hold up against the sag? I got the H9 flow and am looking at get the 4080 GPU. Little concerned about sag
probably won't handle well. The GPU in this video is sagging pretty badly too.
a sag on a vertical mount is not really concerning lol.
@@aronPlays14 well worse thermals. Also you might not have enough clearance for something like a 4090
@@dazeen9591 youre only speculating. Specs are public
@@aronPlays14 well temps are guaranteed to be worse so not much speculation there. With maybe the exception of 7900XTX reference model because at least a large batch of them seems to be faulty
ima get this with 0 RGB, it looks like itll fit the perfect blackout look
performance out the window I would make a swamp bog and take the radiator intake to the sides and dismiss any top fans. lol. FOR FUN. boom youve your aquarium. just add tree frogs.
Sure would be nice if you'd include imperial measurement for those folks who live on the other side of the big pond.
I like it, and more than the 011. So Lian li may have invented the double chamber but it's great that there isn't just one. I would however put infinity fans in it. They just too purty.
Corsair 680x was out before the 011 was.
@@eTeknix not as clean as the Lian Li though. They're the ones who got the concept down.
I wish nzxt would make an mini h9 like the O11 dynamic
I like to call this kind of case a “fish tank case”. For me, this is the most visually-appealing.
why is your radiator pulling air in 🤔
5 pulling in and 4 expelling out. Works perfect.
@@eTeknix but...isnt it technically pulling IN air thats passing through the coils???
Nice review, BUT not having Lian Li's 011D chassis in the comparisson feels like an epic fail IMO since most buyers will probably choose among these.
This case is far superior to the 011d.
3:17 Maybe I just want to do a minimum LED build!
I wish there was an option for black without tinted glass and no fans.
I want to get rid of my 5000D just because I hate the tinted glass
@@alanconnors just hides all the nice parts. That’s why I bought an o11 in white just for the glass.
in h7 case beeter show teperature of cpu , in h9 more up
😮
Thank you for doing a black build, I am tired of all the white builds with white components, white everything.
PSA for anyone hoping to fit an ASUS ROG Z790 Extreme... the U32G1 header doesn't allow enough room to fit the cable that this case comes fitted.
I was going to get the Corsair 5000D, or 4000D airflow. After this I really don't know what to get for my new build. If you were wondering I have an Asus TUF 4070Ti, and i7-13700K. Which one do you guys think I should get because after the benchmark they seem pretty close in comparison, the 4000d airflow coming in just a bit better.
As far as I understand, the case is tested in its stock configuration. Aka 3+1 fans. You can put up to 10 120mm fans inside this case. This will improve temps and based on your specs, you'll buy fans anyway. I think you can go with what you like more lookswise. I was considering the 5000d but settled today for the h9 flow.
@@nischiita I made my opinion to go for the H9 Flow as well. I should be fine, I already have 4 fans bought so for now I will use the 4 included stock fans, as well as my purchased fans in the case. Using my AIO at the top and one stock fan towards the back should allow me to get enough airflow in considering the 6-7 fans that will be used as intake fans. Thank you very much.
@@magicaviation2990I’d be curious to hear how it works for you. I’ve got a 4080 zotac coming that doesn’t fit in my case that I’ve had for many years. Finally need to upgrade to a case without optical drives. Lol
I've 4000d airflow with an 4080 suprim x in it. With a 360mm aio in the front i have like 2mm between the cooler and gpu. Just so you know:) if i remember correcly, my gpu is 337mm.
Going to upgrade to phanteks nv7 or nzxt h9 flow with a custom loop:)
@@TheCth777 I'm waiting for the new amd cpus to be released. Case and GPU are already ready. Also going for the new be quiet 13 psu
219 mm wide or 290 mm?
219mm must be wrong
It’s 290 on the website
That's a big difference. I panicked a little when I saw that, but 290mm is the correct width.
Why is the glass tinted😢, does someone even like it?
I believe this style and size case makes perfect sense, Showcases the build nicely and fits an enormous 40 series GPU with ease.
Good to know that the 4000 series fits easily. Did you mount yours conventionally on the motherboard, or did you mount it vertically with the PCIe 4.0 extender?
I've bought the H7 elite and returned it then the H9 flow and returned it and then I've bought phanteks nv7 and returned it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a newly released case and hopefully it gets avabile soon in the EU.
Still would have chooses the H7 elite over the H9. It's just the turbulence which puts me off with that case. The Temps are fine
Feel like this case is about as good as you can get for this style. It’s just not a great style for airflow in general. Lots of turbulent air that’s not smoothly flowing through
that GPU sag looks horrific
I was looking forward to seeing this but the h7 elite is better :)
ehh, I feel like the h9 value is better, but hey, its your pick, I'm not gonna criticize that.
why do you think that one is better?
@@MultiNastyNate mostly because it comes with 2 extra fans over the h9 elite, and it can fit more fans, and that it looks slightly better due to the glass front, but that choice will vary from person to person, so I don't want to offend anyone's opinion
I don’t understand why they include any fans in a case like this. No builder is going to use the case fans in a showcase type chassis like this and will be going for a specific look with fans. Also, they will need more so unless they buy the same ones as the ones provided they will be mixed. I’d prefer no fans, and a reduction in cost due to that (although likely to be a small reduction). Also, pretty sure the fan controller is really bad as supplied?
Damn, that glass is heavily tinted and too dark. It kind of beats the purpose. If there were no those aggressive RGB lights you wouldn't see any of those components. Even that gypsy shiny crystal GPU is looking muted
The fans point in the wrong direction, and he wonders why the thermals are higher. I run this case at massively lower temps than stated in this video. So much to that.
How should I position the bro fans?
Why H7 elite has lower temp than H7 Flow
Something Wrong
I feel like bc no one is doing push/pull on radiator on elite when there’s totally room for it
i bought this and went for a full black build cause i fkin hate the rainbows
How many more companies are basically going to just copy the Lian Li concept. Miss the days of Enthoo Elite, cougar conquer or P90 type madness already
They're not the first tho
Er, it's 290mm wide, not 219mm
Lian Li never again. I have an o11 evo and in less than a year it rusted, even cleaning it once a week.
that sounds more like your environment than Lian Li, never heard of Lian Li rusting.
Are you constantly using a humidifier or living in a humid location without AC?
@@cks2020693 No. For years I always bought NZXT or LianLi because NZXT didn't have that style, none of my cases rusted until I discovered LianLi, but now I have an H9 Flow.
i can't believe brands are still coping lian li's o11 dynamic....i would suggest people to ignore the rip offs and buy the original
except for the phanteks nv7 it looks better!
Apart from the 011D doesn’t have a seamless connection between side and front panel glass, and worse cable management
@@Cybo_ ehh, worse cable management doesn't really matter when you know how to put.
Name of fans?
Who is buying this? Me. But I went for Phantex Luxe pro 2 or something. Just for airflow. Works wonders - much better 3080 12gb temps, much quieter. But I'm thinking of o11d-like case that supports 140mm everywhere.
Ps: not a single rgb fan here. Anteks p14, p12 all on low rpm. Super quiet. Case is in a corner of the room.
Me. I’m the one buying this case for a no rgb build 💀
Dear everyone, no, it's not a ripoff of the o11, it being a dual chamber does not make it a ripoff of that case. There were other dual chamber cases that came before the o11
The gpu sag 😢
How not to install a AIO
We gunna talk about how these loons at NZXT out the power supply right behind the cpu so not only is there extra heat next the the rear of the cpu, but also you get a weird psu cable coming out of the case midway up?
I think it looks a lot cleaner than Lian Li one.
this RGB lightshow is not for me anymore.. I like FLOW version better
Great, now sell it to my gf with all the glass and rgb
bro the gpu sag
It costs almost twice as much as the O11 Dynamic... I mean sure it includes fans but if you don't wanna use NZXT fans I don't see the point of buying it.
