    Just a note: some recipes that need vegetables include potatoes, some of them exclude it. Same with corn etc. All recipes are different in this regard. So dont go all out on one plant, depending on your favorite recipes, you are probably gonna need onions, bell peppers, carrots, chilli, parsley etc, most of them dont give fame.

    • @Luthais
      @Luthais  Год назад +1

      Yes but a lot of plants don't give you fame so better just looting supermarkets and buying from traders.

  • @dr.rotwang
    @dr.rotwang Год назад +3

    From a purely meta perspective I really like that the two things that give you the most fame are taking life and creating life. Opposite ends of the spectrum rewarded equally.
    On the subject of other things giving you fame there does seem to need to me a lot more mechanics for gaining fame in the game. As others have mentioned, buying and selling high end items, doing kill boxes, building large bases, etc.
    One thing I would personally like to see implemented is a multiplier for when you defeat multiple puppets in a single combat. Especially in melee. Right now if I get bum rushed by 5 puppets and all I have are my fists or lets say a knife or small axe. If I somehow manage to fend off and kill all 5 puppets I get 5 fame points. The same as if I had just mowed them all down with a SMG. Pulling off a win like that should get you some form of multiplier just for surviving. Like 5 puppets at once gets you 5X multiplier on fame. So for winning our example combat you would get 25 fame points.
    Additionally if they made it so that the weapon used factored into the fame generated that would be another mechanic that would add depth to the game. Like if you kill a puppet with a gun, 1 fame point, kill it with a bow and arrow 2 fame points, hack it apart with an axe in melee 5 fame points, beat it to death with your bare fists 10 fame points. Combine those two mechanics and suddenly if you beat 5 puppets to death all at once with your bare fists you get 250 fame points. I think that would much more accurately reflect the kinds of things that would get big ratings and thus fame in respect to the in game show and audience.

      Nice ideas. The kill streak made me smile

  • @rafalb9448
    @rafalb9448 Год назад +5

    I can agree with idea that target solution should be so that more different actions should give fame - puppets kills, looting (or selling) rare high quality items, doing killbox (different levels depending how much you manage to open). And of course losing fame should also happen for more then just dying - buying items, failing important actions. Lore wise it should work in a way that spectacularly successful actions, that would cause audience to react enthusiastically, would give fame while failures would take it away. But...
    Until above or similar mechanics will be introduced, working only with what we have in-game now, I can't agree that farming potatos is better way then picking olives.
    Just look how long and how expensive it is to make a farm like the one you show. And how much and how long it takes to maintain it? You have to build it (it needs nails!!!), you have to find seeds, tools and fertilizer. Remember, you can't buy that cause you have 0 fame. Then you need to plant all that, water it, fertilize it, de-weed it, replant some failed ones...
    All that takes time so you have to sit at base. Sure you can build and cook in mean time. That is if you had time to loot all required components for that. I'm sure all that time and effort adds up to very large amounts, way beyond what average player can afford.
    And picking olives? You do that on the go, while running between POIs and towns and traders. And it is free - it cost you 0 effort and adds extra few seconds per looted plant that you would save if you not loot it. In the end of the day, player that just play naturally and collects olives on the go, will get better result faster.
    I even have anecdotal prof for that - I already had 380 fame when I manage to find 28th nail I would need to build the farm you shown. And I can think of way better use for rare nails then building a farm.

    • @Luthais
      @Luthais  Год назад +1

      Agree with your points just remember if you play actively and take risks like cargo drops you die a lot so you will run out of fame constantly and the farm is a constant. You only build it once. It gives you easy fame forever

    I like the fame grind. I played scum for years without a trader and people running to it to get geared up fast. If the game is a dystopian tv show, killing people should be the best way. Private servers can have other gameplays.

    • @Luthais
      @Luthais  Год назад +1

      You are clearly PVP focused and 25 % is still very OP for a kill so PVE is undervalued but what we get fame for should change like killing puppets, leveling our skills, doing kill boxes and looting uranium can be entertaining for the game show viewers way more than watching me pick olives or farming.

    • @InDaZone
      @InDaZone Год назад +1

      @@Luthais I’m not PvP focused at all actually. But I agree with you on your points. I just hated people getting famous from olive farming. There are more creative things that I’m sure the devs will explore in the future. I just don’t like anything to be easy.

    Good news is that all farming loot is very common in the small village towns with barns.

    And for adding to the fame thing, i would thik the devs schould make it a adjustable value in the server settings, so that the admin can decide how much fame players get from NPC (pupet) killing.
    This way everyone can balance it, depending on there servers focus, either let it be pvp or pvp.
