  • The independent t-Test (t-Test for two independent samples or unpaired t-Test) is a statistical test that determines whether there is a difference between two unrelated groups.
The independent samples t-Test is used to make a statement about the population based on two independent samples. To make this statement, the mean value of the two samples is compared. If the difference in means is large enough compared to the standard Error of the mean, it is assumed that the two groups differ.
