Wow. The delusion of some reality television viewers is truly unbelievable. Sure, ashley m. Let's not trust the couple themselves or their friends and family who have all spoken about how Jared was in love with Ashley for years, but was terrified of losing her as his best friend if they tried to become more and it didn't work out so he pushed her away. And it wasn't until he saw her start to move on with Kevin that he realized he was going to lose her either way and he couldn't handle that so he finally admitted that she wasn't crazy and he really was in love with her. Noticed after watching again, Kevin walks over to hug Ashley although he looked sick and hurt doing it. . I did not see him approach Jared because I think he knows exactly what Jared did. He is right that she did not have to go back so quickly to Jared. That was hurtful. She cried about Kevin too on Winter games so I know she liked him. I think he thought they were solid until Jared took interest once they were together and she was happy with Kevin and they were both into each other. He gave up Bibiana to date her. Then we all know she had been a virgin and this was her 1st serious love interest after Jared and it was revealed she was no longer a virgin. So I guess they were an intimate couple which develops a intense bond not only for the female but also for a male especially when he is invested and cares about the girl he is with. This makes it extra traumatic when you break up after intimacy because you are so vulnerable and exposed after sharing that bond. I wish she had stayed with Kevin and given herself time to realize Jared had his chance for years to chose her, but I think being so invested in Jared for so long, she too quickly let go of the real relationship she had going with Kevin. If Jared truly loved her then he could have done the waiting like she had done. If she was meant to be with Kevin who obviously had serious feelings for her, then he should have stepped aside and accepted it. I saw “the story of us” and he still had a difficult time expressing his emotions about her. He had no problem letting her know for years he was pursuing other girls until she finally met a very handsome, interesting caring guy. They are 2 very different looking guys. Kevin is much bigger and more athletic looking and more glamorous in my opinion. Jared is cute but I did not see him as competition. And Kevin is the more mature serious caring man of the 2 while Jared is still like a young college guy. I think that is why he suddenly wanted her once he saw her with Kevin. I think Kevin has a tender side and obviously he was embarrassed and hurt, by Ashley taking Jared back. I would have told Ashley you have a great guy who adores you, as opposed to one you liked for years but did not reciprocate until he sees you with an incredible man. Don’t make the mistake of dumping Kevin for Jared. Give yourself a year. Concentrate on you and Kevin, and then if it truly does not work, andJared is still there, you can consider him. I would have not taken Jared back, because I would have been too interested in the wonderful guy that is Kevin. I would not want to be the prize in a competition in Jared’s mind. Ashley was all his until Kevin, but then she no longer obsessed over him. I think he immaturely missed that she was always in the wings. Be interesting to watch this relationship to see over time if it will be able to grow and develop.
