Kevin, what more can be said ? You're absolutely the most profound artist EVER ! and you still have 40 to 50 years of creation still ahead, what a gift to the world you are !
yeah, i love it it's been so long. its brutal, this album, does it for me. tis beautiful. reminds of the old band. hiope they never drowned , in kevins quicksand.
I love how his style evolves and the messages are always relatable to my experiences. His tunes always make me want to dance, whether it was his old 4-tracks and/or this GEM. And everything in between, oh yes. :) Fuck yeah Kevin, get it baby!
Aldhils is amazing. Love the sound from the albums back then. Coquelicot, Bedside Drama, Gay Parade and 'If He is protecting our nation...' are similar to that.
i love kevin and all but i really feel like the drums are an important part of his music and they are very much lacking on this record. this feels like an 80's Joan Jett situation or something gen x sings kareoke too. im not mad i just never saw this coming.
I actually do like everything from False Priest to Aureate Gloom. I'm just taking out my frustration with the new material on this comment section. Did you all see the vid for Polyaneurism? Not that oM is known for quality music videos, but I may never have cringed harder at one.
Honestly this makes me feel kind of sad. Cherry Peel was such an important record to me. This just sounds like advert music for something I don't want to buy.
I’ve been wary of the direction of Montreal has been going since innocence reaches but I binged through all the albums and found it to be kind of beautiful to see how far this project has gone. Things have definitely changed, and I’m not the same person I was when the first album I listened to (skeletal lamping) was released. You may have just grown in a different path to the artists and that’s totally okay. Please be respectful to each other!
of montreal have been quietly releasing extreme bangers for like a hundred years
it feels more like they release a hundred bangers every couple of years
or at least since 1997, basically a 100 years at least
exactly , atariDC, i discovered them this year
trooooof
Kevin has like 60 great songs

Kevin started in the 60s, moved to 70s, now in 80s phase XD
Do u think when he hits 90s he'll come full circle nd make another cherry peel
You've had me everywhere, the track that proves to me every album has a song you fall in love with
One time I was at the airport and hardly anybody else was there, and I saw Kevin. I didn't say anything to him.
that was the play, and you nailed it
@@Darmpa I've since thought of a few things I would have said.
I wouldn't have missed that opportunity if that was me, to go up to Kevin and introduce myself, then gush over his brilliance.

i'd hate to be missing of montreal--Kevin your literal and figurative voices bring me so much joy.

Another iconic album from my fav band. We stan sm!! ^•^
thank you, of montreal, you deserve more of the human race

Ah of montreal, we missed u
This has cemented itself as one of my favorite albums of all time.
My favorite since Paralytic Stalks. Love the vibes and general sound on this.
I don't even wanna haunt this place!
Number One on the College Radio PlayLists for Week of 1/31/20!

Excellent album!
I saw them last month and now the world is on lock down. Not a bad show to be your last.

Perfect! I can’t wait to see Kevin adn everyone!
So good!
This is fantastic! great job.
Arthur M no it’s not, it’s alright if you put it against contemporary pop, but for kevin barnes it’s pretty bad.
It's not Hissing Fauna Are You The Destroyer, but still good.

amazing. i love it
lol what Kevin Barnes ISN'T public diary?
Goddammit, You've Had Me Everywhere, been listening to Prince lately?
Nice.
Take me back to 2001. I'm only still listening out of desperation for the feeling I got the first time I heard Coquelicot
Fuck off and let artists evolve
Anyone know the city on the album cover? Los Angeles?
Kinda looks like Mr. Fuji in the background
HMMMMMMMMMMM
I think it's Shinjuku

I never knew of montreal fans were so trite until this comments section. I figured they would at least be pretentious...
I'm here to represent everyone who hates post-Skeletal Lamping oM. Please direct all inquiries and pretenses to my inbox.
Max Steinstein I respect your resolve, but if you don’t like aureate gloom or lousy with sylvianbriar i’m not sure what to say to you.
SmittyWarben YagerMangensen even Paralytic Stalks and False Priest have great tracks. Ye, Renew the Plaintiff is in their top 5 imo.
