I grew a couple weed plants in the woods at 17 or so, when this was new. Remember, getting stoned and getting lost on hikes listening to this.. It was magic.
This was the album I listened to that made me fall in love with STRFKR. I have so many memories associated with these songs. Thanks for having that effect on me
You guys probably won't see this, but I've always been very preoccupied with the concept of death and impermanence, and this is one of the very few albums of the many I've heard that really deals with that particular sentiment in a way that is so direct. When I first heard it ten years ago I was 14 years old and didn't really understand or pay much attention to the lyrics, but now at 25 and having been touched by certain life experiences the first few seconds of Born never fails to make me well up, and Mystery Cloud still remains one of my favorite tracks ever. I saw this record dismissed as buzz band tripe quite a bit, and that always upset me because it so poignantly captures the grandeur, the vivacity and ultimately the tragedy of having been blessed with such a short time here in the same way that Wayne Coyne did with The Soft Bulletin. Thank you.
I turn 21 in a couple days, I was a child, probably 9 or 10 if I were to guess when I first heard this and discovered STRFKR. I got turned onto rap later on and since then have grown from there but this band and especially this album captures a part of music nobody else can. Forever one of the best pieces of art from it's time. Bless.
Thinking back to my highschool days, early in the morning skating to school, jamming to songs like "death is a fetish" and "mystery cloud", getting late to class with no worries. After school I 'd walk my doggo with my earbuds in listening (R.I.P. Sasha boi)Those were the days...
God it's been so long. So many things have happened since this album came out when I was 17. People have come and gone, but STRFKR has kept me company the whole way. My favorite band then, now, and forever. I'll never forget seeing you all live at The Orange Peel with Psychic Twin and Reptaliens. Thank you 💜
Found this song (Mystery Cloud) some years ago, listening to a youtube video of a balloon sent in the atmosphere, walking in Venice Beach. I miss those times, so much.
I remember watching STRFKR play at the Fonda Theater (LA) back in 2013, one of my favorite concert experiences. Saw them again in 2015 (Pomona) with Com Truise as their opening act, another great performer, I'll never forget the mini mosh pit that ensued that night lol
growing up listening to this since it's start has been awesome. Thankfull to live in a time and space where this is possible. May seem something small and fullish but happines can be found on the simplest things. srry 4 english
Most of my favorite bands postponed there 10 year anniversary tours, I hope you guys do the same, this album means a lot to me and I’ve never seen you guys live! Would love for the first time to be this tour celebration after covid is over
this album always takes me back to 2013 (i know, a little late) and being shown this album by some of my best friends in college at the time. Some of them apparently saw and knew you guys in LA during the early years at house shows and parties! Love your music STRFKR, never change.
Hey Josh! And Shawn and Keil! Painting Adrian here, miss you guys, sucks covid-19 and the previous administrationd fucked the public into prolonging this but i look forward to giving you guys more paintings when you come to H-town. Stay safe and love your plants!! Amazing album btw. Top 5 I would take to a deserted island. 🌲🌳🌱🌿☘️🍀🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼💋
The previous administration provided set guidelines and funding. It was state governors that fucked it up. Funny how you want to impute politics into something apolitical but will ignore poor policies when made by your "side." Good luck with that.
Just found these doodes 2 yrs ago and gotta say im enjoying the fruits o' their labour at prime time live at 5. Love these gentleman and their sound. Keep it cummin STRFKR

So I added it into the end of my copy of the album. NOW I FEEL SO DANG VALIDATED
This album is a Masterpiece and definitely should have been a tour! FKNCVD! I can’t wait to see my next STRFKR show. In the meantime, check out their merch at their store on their website! Do it for ALL your favorite bands! They need us to show how much we appreciate them right now. Show your support and buy their goods, especially until we can see them back out on tour again! Also, last year’s Future Past Life is brilliant from start to finish and has become a favorite! Stay safe!
I remember being a 19 - 20 year old boy listening to this album while going to college by public transport-
THIS SHIT REALLY SLAPS ON THE BUS
