First impressions are I love mine. Very consistent over the chronograph, I’ve ordered a 0.22 barrel kit for it so when that arrives I’ll do a full overview and accuracy test. I think it makes much more sense in sub12 over an impact and it’s £250 less
Greetings James , great review on this rifle . lots of great info . fx are the best out there . fab setting for review . ive just bought the fx Wildcat 3 . as soon as you shoulder the rifle feels outstanding . good to see you james . take care . Cheers Simon from York
I remember back 15 years ago, when buying a PCP rifle,a lot of the professional gunsmiths who knew what they were doing often recommend steering away from a regulated rifle where possible,as they were looked at as problematic, look how air arms wouldn't use them for years, even on their target hft / ft rifles, crazy how things change over time.
Great review there James , you look like you’ve put a bit of timber on since ur last video , and the price of this gun seems better than what others are asking , for similar spec guns , that’s also why I like RTI cheers shane uk
Looks a nice rifle and the duel regulator makes sense. I do like my FX Wildcat MK3 though as it's nice and compact and great quality. I also own an Artemis P15 which isn't as good quality though does have a regulator and is accurate and quite consistent and for the price of £480 it's an absolute bargain. There are also many 3D Laser Printed upgrade options online, such as upgraded leaver mechanism, picatinny rails, pellet magazines, sliding butt-stock, etc.
The STD DV It is the same as the Impact, the wildcat and the crown, this ones only mount one regulator, the things that I see in advantage is the plenum of bigger capacity that the maverik mounts giving more shots counts per charge and cheapest price.
I really fancy one of these but...no left hander mag available? Being a lefty surely they can make a mag that will suit.....I'd buy one tomorrow if they did.
Love and appreciate your reviews m8, im looking at either maverick, impact mk2 or the newer and apparently less complicated Airmaks krait. What's your opinion? I only shoot at ranges and don't hunt.
It's not necessarily about if you can or can't afford an impact, to my mind,if you are buying a UK sub 12,then you are better off buying the maverick, simply because he things that make the impact the price it is,is the fact that it's a rifle you can tune and adjust, and in the UK none of those features are available on the impact, so what's the point in paying the extra 400 quid when the maverick is going to do everything that you are able to do with the impact.
I love FX, had 25 & 30cal Crown, now running 91ft 25cal Impact. My beef with the Maverick is FXs claims, along with their AL on you tube "its the most accurate & consistent rifle" clearly not. So far the best group at 100yds is 1½" 100yds by Gerhard, SD deviation is around 3-4fps. So their clai a are not worthy. Dual rehsi believe had been tried before some years back, but stopped due to being pointless. The only advantage the dual reg has here is the reduction of pressure on the 2nd reg, but that's it. It hasn't helped with consistency or accuracy, as claimed. Otherwise it would be SD of 0, sub ½" moa at 100yds. That's the facts of it. Apart from that it's a good looking rifle.
Hey james love the vids..Im looking at buying 1 of these and i am stuck or 177 or .22 i have the eliment helix optics to go on it already i will be mostly paper punching but i am looking to get some perms in the futcher what caliber would u suggest for me to get also if possibe what pellets have you found to run better with this rifle also thanks
Its a common feature on most camera’s; when the mic detects a sharp spike it will turn down to try and limit any damage, self preservation so to speak. As with any product shown on the channel i’ll say it as it is, i have no ties to any company and as such wouldn’t “promote” anything i don’t trust / use in the field myself. Hope that helps. James
get rid of that utter shite donny silencer they are crap avoid at all costs they look good but the standard hw100 silencer is far quieter on sub 12 air rifle and thats a fact jack
Wow amazing I wish I had one of those I'm a big fan from North East India Mizoram state Christian religion city but small city I never miss your videos I'm interested and fun to watch please remember me if you ever feel like giving out coz I'm poor can't afford to buy a new air rifle my pin code is 796891

Great review,I think you have explained the dual regulator set up brilliantly and makes perfect sense. A great move by FX!
Thanks!

Thanks, appreciated.
Great, informative review James, keep up the good work 👍

nice vid. Well done. I'm on a waiting list at Utah Air Guns for the Sniper model

i like the fx but little out my price range good review thanks
Lovely guns, but no left handed versions. And not sure about the mag sticking out so far, great review.
Lefties " left out " yet again .. pisses me off , not too worry though , I've got an eye on an RTI Prophet ..

another good review James... nice looking rifle keep the good reviews coming regards from wales lyndon
Thanks Lyndon!
Great video, thanks for uploading. I still prefer the look of the Impact over the Maverick but admit there’s not much in it. Cheers
Thanks!

Great review recently purchased a dreamline tactical compact from SGC . Do like this new rifle.
Thanks! Enjoy your dreamline! James

I'd buy one but being a lefty not able to use it with the mag in that position. :(
Fantastic review .. and a superb rifle ... Sadly they don't do a left hand version .. and that's a right kick in the b*****ks to me from FX ..
Another excellent video only one question what donny was you using that made it so quiet?

Awesome review, so tempted to sell my ratworks tuned hw100 to purchase a fx maverick!?
Thanks!
Any news on the Helix review James? Waiting for your review to decide between SFP AND FFP
if you have suggestions for maverick 177 with pellets 13.43 gr how much pressure regulator 1 and 2? And what is the power level? how many fps?

What pellets are you using may I ask
Wish I can get one someday🙏
Work hard and save - best of luck!
I guess you'll be reviewing that ELEMENT HELIX next?
The review is mostly filmed - just trying to get some extra footage. James
brother tell me please is the maverick for left hand also?
Does anyone know where I can get a single shot tray in .177 for the maverick?
Was wondering if the Helix review is nearly ready?
I’m planning to start editing on friday - then top of any footage needed over the weekend. Should be live soon after. James
177 caliber available in maverick sniper ?
Hey james love the vids..Im looking at buying 1 of these and i am stuck or 177 or .22 i have the eliment helix optics to go on it already i will be mostly paper punching but i am looking to get some perms in the futcher what caliber would u suggest for me to get also if possibe what pellets have you found to run better with this rifle also thanks
Is that with a 600mm barrel in .177?
Can a lefty use it?? I guess not by the mag
What is the difference between a £160 springer and a £300 springer?
Thats a very good question! I’ll see what i can do
I think it's about £140 if my math is correct xx
is it possible to make the maverick as quiet as a hw100 all non-fac
Umm, you can get near enough the same with the donny i had fitted but didn’t compare the two side by side. It was dam quiet though!
Is the .177 version any good for knocking over vermin I.e rats rabbits pigeons ect?
It’s only as good as the user 😉
Why does the sound level go quieter when you fire, it is almost as if you want the moderator to appear better than it is..??

I don’t like the position of the safety.
I think there is a scam ... the sound of the video is different. This suppressor is not so quiet ...
Sorry to disappoint; but the sound levels of this video have not been changed at all, all audio is exactly as recorded…
FX is really NOT lefthander friendly!!!
get rid of that utter shite donny silencer they are crap avoid at all costs they look good but the standard hw100 silencer is far quieter on sub 12 air rifle and thats a fact jack
"fill to 300bar" ???.
It was a figurative example....
