@@everettbruckerhoff6029 he really is though the f-35 is well worth the money and it's well on it's way to become (besides the Super Hornet and the newest f-15s) the main multirole fighter is the U.S. and how about reading up about the jet instead of just assuming it's bad because it's having those early stages problems that EVERY military aircraft has had at some point that's what most people don't get military aircraft don't just come out perfect out of the factory line it needs time to be finalized even some of the most famous aircraft like the p-51 and f-4 had problems when first introduced.

@@ShadowDocks People always forget that R&D is an expensive and lengthy venture. Hence why most countries either prefer to wait for the "new thing" then make their own based version or simply buy the new thing.
Perun makes a very detailed discussion why new weapons such as the F-35 tend to be expensive.

I thought the typo was the fact that it's supposed to be named the RS-71 Blackbird, but the president goofed when he announced it's existence, and so the government went back and changed the documents as to not embarrass the president.

I've watched this no joke 15 times. This needs a million views.
20 years I had friends that were from a karate dojo. And this dojo was a air force base. And they were pilots. And one day they along me to tag along with them to the base. And there was a mock F18 Hornet along with other air craft in this hanger. I was able to sit in the cockpit of that F18 Hornet. No other feeling in the world can compare to that feeling of joy and pleasure. Then to top everything else on the runaway there's was a CC-130 prepping for takeoff. We walked the runaway to walk through the back that 130. And I was introduced to the flight crew. That was one of the best day of my life.

Correction to A-10
"I could kill you and probably my own team in 5 seconds."
The A-10's power is way more hyped up than what it actually is. The gun is so inaccurate that it's just as likely to kill the ones who called the airstrik as it is to kill its target. It also didn't have sufficient targeting equipment and often relied on line-of-sight to target the enemy. Leading to multiple awkward situations where it opened fire on friendly and civilian vehicles. The A-10 friendly fire body count was several orders of magnitude higher than any other US aircraft in history. As for an effective tank hunter, if I remember right, the A-10's main gun could only penetrate the armour of tanks as modern as early soviet era and is basically useless against modern tanks. Something else to consider is that pilots had a tenancy to inflate their kill count to both make themselves look better and also because it was difficult to tell whether or not they actually hit their target. This was especially true for the A-10 with it's limited sensors
It is a great weapon for a different Era of warfare and strategy dont shit on it bro. It's like dogging on cars from the 30s not being as good as modern supercars.

[Huph] The F-35 is the advancement of airborne warfare, with electronic warfare, ground strike, reconnaissance, and stealth capabilities. And yet people just see one less engine and a lower top speed than the F-22 and immediately assume it's worse than it, even though such high speeds wear down the RAM coating and structural integrity while making heat-seeking missiles more effective. Despite the F-22 was pure airsuperiority fighter, while the F-35 is a multirole fighter, with the previously mentioned capabilities, and has two other variants that can give stovl(short takeoff and vertical landing) or carrier landing gear and the tail hook.

The A-10 is more expensive to upgrade than to build and F-35, and they need the upgrade if they want to stay in service due to advancements in anti aircraft weapon systems, like the Stinger. Also, it's killed more allied soldier than any other military vehicle still in military service now. So, uh, switch the F-35 around with the A-10

sorry bud, you're talking out of your ass, stinger-like weapons have been around almost since the dawn of jets. f35 and a10 serve 2 completely different roles a10 can carry a lot of boom boom and can loiter for a looooooooooong time however it's an easy target for sams with longer reach or other fighters. f35 is so multirole capable there's not enough text to be specific, but to compare the a/g aspect, the f35 will hit a target and nobody will know it was even there to begin with
@Gundam- Nymphali1 dude, I challenge you to use an a-10 to do anything an f-35 can do. Also, not talking out of my ass here, because I read the declassified information on the A-10, and let's just say, it's a fucking disappointment. It's killed more friendly targets than any other aircraft combined since the Vietnam War, has fucking terrible situational awareness, it's guns can't punch through a t-62 without doing multiple passes, it isn't as stable as a helicopter and can't fight in contested airspace due to its lack of air to air firepower. Meanwhile, the F-35 has all of the close air support capabilities of the A-10, more room for bombs, much better situational awareness, and has the ability to destroy precise targets without ever entering the country its targeting. Yet, you're saying a plane that has been obsolete since the FUCKING 80S is less of a waste of money? I have no confidence in your ability to do math or even wipe your own ass. Please tell me that in the future, you will hire someone to do your finances for you, because you'd probably think that a wooden boat that's been sailing for 50 years is a better investment than a new speedboat because you've had the wood one for years, never mind that the repairs are so expensive it's cheaper to buy the speedboat.

F-35 is actually making up its costs pretty well. It’s getting vastly more affordable to produce, (the new F-15Ex is actually more expensive to make). And has a shitload of advanced tech that is becoming ever-more essential to the battlefield.
Did you really try comparing the price of thef35 to the f15 while they are both fighters the f15 is more air superiority so don’t even think you can compare the price plus the f15 has 104 victories to no losses let’s see the f35 ever hold a title like that
Stomping on outdated Migs is different from fighting advanced 4th gen and 5th gen fighters. The F-35 is actually much cheaper now, and it could stomp on any F-15. It's doing great in exercises, especially paired with other jets. @@danielmeador1991
