Previously thought to be extinct, a massive creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific. Never once in my life have i been to a beach with that many people using inter tubes. Kayaks in the middle of hundreds of people, jet skiers going full speed through people. This scene is a mess.

@@jacksonbyers7423 Yeah, but sharks are cold-blooded creatures, so they stay in cold waters. 1: NOBODY ON EARTH Would ever go on a floaty if it went that deep, and 2: Even so, the waters would still be warm and the shark would not be attracted to people in the first place. So, it just doesn't make sense at all. And still, even if some beaches get deep really quickly, that would still not be enough for the Meg space-wise because it would still have to move back and forth to reach its food, and it would likely get stuck easily as they would have to rotate a good amount to turn for prey.

Sharks like Great Whites and Mako's both animals that target large fish or mammals have evolved to better have water flow around them well swimming, this is so they produce less drag. The overall shape and there skin which contains thousands or in the megs case hundred of thousands of tiny teeth like structures which also helps water flow. It also has the added benefit of not giving off the sharks presence of potential prey like seals, or whales which would sense water disturbance. Humans can potentially detect presence of something as well if there is a change of air pressure or sense something. even in a flow of water you would be able to detect movement with changes in the water that your skin could pick up. Given the shark in Meg attacks deep water animals and whales. its likely perfect in stealth attacks and thus couldn't pick up where it was unless you have equipment or evolved sense to detect it.

It’s very surprising that in this universe this Meg is pretty much the biggest apex alive and yet literally no one noticed her until last minute. She’s only noticed when she accidentally moves some rafts. Not just spotted in plain sight despite her enormous size! Like this was on a crowded beach a well with probably thousands! Or curiosity. Often sharks will bite you to try and figure out what the heck you are. They don't hunt us, like the movies show - because we're just not their natural prey. We're not even supposed to be there. We don't even smell like food to them.
