Well this is the first time 😊 of me hearing that song called farewell. And again how we can all relate as I came from a family of seven siblings and none of them live around me anymore. 💯Everybody had to leave and find their🕊️ place in this world and unfortunately it's never where we started out. I'm the one that did stay I Never left home as I was content and happy with everything I had. However others get curious about what's on the other side of the fence only to find it wasn't as green as they thought. So farewell my friend I hope you get what you were looking for 🌎💕🌎. I heard from an elderly man. Whatever your problems are now🎉 moving away is not going to resolve them. The reason being is whoever you are😊 is the one who's traveling to another place 🕊️ you That move will never redefine you🎉 Who and what you are !!

The last great classic early '70s era Rod song. It was the single off the 1974 "Smiler" album, though it was not a hit. Appropriate "farewell" to that period before he went all Hollywood dating Britt Ekland and releasing fodder like "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy".

When released as a single in the United Kingdom in September 1974, the song became a Top 10 hit (No. 7) as part of a double A-side with his medley "Bring It On Home to Me/You Send Me".
Sounds like a hit to me...

Love this song from the album "reason to believe".
I have hundreds of albums in my collection, "reason to believe" By Rod is easily my favourite and this track "farewell" is my favourite.
"So long sweet Belinda don't forget that your my girl.
I'm gonna dress you fine and if you give me time, make you proud like I said I would" #priceless
