How come zamusu is in the fused form so long
Sam Ghafer it's because when the Potara Fusion ran out, due to Future Zamasu and Goku Black being one and the same, their synergy caused them to reject the fission and Future Zamasu's immortality merged Goku Black and Future Zamasu permanently on a cellular level and his regeneration went into overdrive after it was time to defuse but couldn't due to the half of him that is Future Zamasu it was his immortality that caused Fused Zamasu to regenerate back into a single being everytime he was about to defuse also a 3rd reason could be due to the difference in power level even in the show it was stated that 1 such mistake can create a failed fusion just look at Veku so just saying that could be another reason but anyway just like when Fused Zamasu had half of his body disfigured by Goku's God Kamehameha, Fused Zamasu calls upon the Light of Divine Justice to severely injure his arm - causing his arm to become larger, much more muscular and creating more scarred flesh - but also increased Fused Zamasu's power. So basically when Fused Zamasu got hit by the Final Kamehameha he probably would've defused but couldn't due to Future Zamasu's immortality now they did in the manga but I can't remember the exact method or exactly how but some of those are just theories but they are still the answer as to why he stayed fused
