Something you forgot to mention, is actually a pro for Spectora regardless, if you’re using the iPad or the iPhone, or a tablet and an android, when you’re done with your inspection, regardless of whatever device you are currently using, you can simply save your work, and then sync, whatever is most convenient for the client to you your end of inspection summary. So if you’re going to use your phone because it’s smaller and more convenient, you can very easily do your summary with your client on the bigger tablet.

@2:22 I love this feature, but it could obviously be much better. I see you need to grip the strap between your index and middle finger. I recently got the Samsung Tab S7 and because of where the S-Pen docks, there's no way I can reach the power button to take pics. I think I will have to build my own case.
I am glad my phone is dead after an inspection. It gives me an excuse to take a break for bit. Even though I could just put it on the charger and keep writing...but we will ignore that.

@@ethanpine9443when doing an inspection in the app it does not require internet. Before you go to an inspection just make sure the template is downloaded and you can use it offline.
By the time you buy a powerful enough tablet to run your software and all those other accessories that you need just to make a tablet functional during the home inspection. How much are we talking two grand per device? For me I don't see that as a good investment just so the client can have a little bit bigger of a screen. I doubt a bigger screen is making or breaking a home inspector.

iPad mini or similar tablet is a good compromise. As someone else said, you can sync and do the review on a laptop or large tablet.

Not cold weather, but hot weather yes. If you leave it in the sun, it'll overheat.

This is not a balanced review of both, and the arguing pros and cons for each device were overtly subjective to the opinion of this inspector.
