I’m sure you’re aware of setting moves to shortcuts under the battle settings, but I’ve found that Brumal Form becomes a lot more useful/powerful because with it set to a shortcut, you can spam it and it allows you to dodge more of those multi hitting attacks like Umbral Strikes
Got to Pride and Joy second try. Had no cure and got absolutely wrecked. Couldn't pull off brumal form and he grabbed Sonon. Couldn't target the arm (brutal targeting system, despite completing the box challenge trophy) and dodge and go aerial. Seems like a big oversight, might have had a chance had I had Chakra or Cure. So annoying as I barely got to practice the strategy as I was trying to revive Sonon constantly.
I was having doubts on wether I should bother with this fight since I got the platinum for the main game and remembering how damn hard the Bahamut fight was. Confident I made the right decision now lol. There’s only so much time in the day and I don’t wanna waste it if there isn’t a platinum on the line. Plus I’m just not a huge fan of Yuffie in general

I actually managed to beat Bahamut in 3 fights now but every time Ramuh comes along to whoop my ass... by the time I reach the old thunder-man I'm already too nervous to focus 😞
Thank you. I did it with this video. Pride and joy was ez. Got a little hairy at the end with yuffie not having Mp and her health in the red. But I managed to finish p%j of with Sonans limit break. Did P&J first try. Bahamut was probably the hardest. Ramuh wasn't too hard but I struggled some
I don't know if they patched this or what but I can't get Bahamut's stagger bar to go up hardly at all, even when he is at half health and summons Ifrit his bar is only a third of the way if that.
Bahamut is such a joke once you know about the synergised square spam to Stagger him... I kind of prefer using distant combat with Yuffie & constant movement vs aerial fight & brumal but it's cool both gameplay actually works.
I just mashed triangle to stay aerial hitting bahumut. This always gave me plenty of atbs so I could just use brumal for whenever he was going for an attack (or whenever I thought he was going for an attack!) and this worked really well
Ramah is a lot tougher in fact in my opinion the only reason this fight was tough. Been beating Bahamut down all day no issue and dying to Ramuh. Thought training in the vr would help but I smoked him. Came back and kept failing. Finally beat him 1 hp on yuffie, Sonon dead, limit break. Healed immediately start of next battle and smoked pride and joy first time.
He hits harder, but he's still incredibly weak to wind, so he staggers really quick. But the damage output is definitely higher than VR, I should've been more clear.
@@SweetJohnnyCage yeah I think I should have just started up the VR and worked out dodge and blocks better. Pretty sure my timing was off since the previous two times I fought him he was so easy I didn't even worry about it.
This guide helped me the most. Got the trophy. :) I actually had the most trouble with Ramuh getting stuck in his lightning. Once I got through him, I was able to beat Pride and Joy following this guide.
Staying behind pride of joy makes it a lot more easier, only took me 2 tries with him, Bahamut was the problem, didn’t realise you needed to stagger him to make his countdown reset back to 5
Thanks for posting! I did a bit of grinding to master most materia this guide uses but the big learning curve I got from the video is op highlighting is staying in the air (don’t drop down during basic attack combo) and wait for enemy to make an attack motion before Brumal Form for a greater chance of dodging. This will also reset you basic attack combo so it’s easier to stay in the air. Lastly as others have pointed out, assign Brumal Form to a shortcut which will allow you to cast it multiple times
This is the most "unfun" ive had with a game in a long time. So much bullsbit. I mashed my way through the bondlc bahamut bullshit. But this. F* this. That is literally bot fun at all. Ill take a break and maybe get back to it...
I just want to say, this is an amazing freaking strat. I can't believe it but I did it on my first try. Granted my materias were a bit more leveled up and I had 2 HP ups I was running and a fully trained Element materia, but holy shit. This is really good!

I've tried this so much with so many different guides and still failing. Very frustrating. Anyone wanna just shareplay finish it for me? Haha

This worked perfectly. Ifrit and Pride & Joy just kept healing me as I used ninjitsu consistently on them. Amazing! 😀

Activate synergy, then just mash square over and over and over.

I just kept away and used my regular attack with lightning elemental with windstorm for the most part and easily beat him first try

Honestly, it's going to be REALLY difficult not to have Yuffie in my party at all times in Rebirth. She's way too much fun!
Wouldn't say this is harder than the main game, this is sort of nerfed compared to the main game one, there's only 3 bosses, 4 with Ifrit.
Beat main game with little tries. I can't get close to even 50% bahamut this time. Absolutely insanely difficult for me
