Really loving these workout videos. Fascinated by the input from Coach McGee. His approach is a bit different to anything else I have come across. His way of measuring the severity of a workout is very interesting. Never heard of runners being concerned about watts before (even though cyclists are obsessed by it!)
Watts are from the Stryd Powermeter (little black thing you'll see on her shoe when she's warming up) and it is very similar to watts on a bike. Evan, the guy she's been running with a lot, works for Stryd.
Your running appears to be way more efficient than I’ve seen. Your coach has really helped improve your form. I think it will translate to some great races and confidence building down the road.
I know Coach has tried to change a lot with your lower half, but you look SOOOOO much more relaxed through the shoulders now. Maybe that's all a result of what's happening lower?
Looks like she's wearing Nike Air Zoom Tempo NEXT% as a training shoe. As far as I know, she's no longer affiliated with Nike though. If she was, I doubt she'd be wearing 2XU training apparel since Nike probably wouldn't cut a shoe-only deal w/o an apparel agreement too, esp for an Olympian. I'm guessing those are just her personal shoes at the moment. U tend to stick with what's comfortable/familiar until forced to change.
I love these videos. So interesting to hear Bobby McGee’s thought process. Go well in New York, Gwen and Evan

I found the watts thing interesting also, it is a change from heart rate, pace and time.
@@donshields2379 If you haven't trained with a Stryd Powermeter it's a game change...IMO!
Do you understand the South African accent?

Impressive farmer blows... or snot rockets (whichever you prefer) :) I am so happy that Gwen seems happy!
Awesome! Please keep making these great walking videos and never stop! Thank you! :)
Love your video. Very inspirational for a recreational runner like me. Good luck this Sat. I’m also flying to NYC for the Sunday Marathon
Good luck on your race!
Felicitaciones 👏👏👏👏

hey the South African accent woohoo 🇿🇦
It must be *cold* with you wearing that jacket and still not feeling warmed up until #4. In that case, what's up with Evan's shorts?
Interesting....quite a stack height on those.
Gwen, are those Hokas?? Are you still associated with Nike at all? Love these videos!

She's wearing the Nike Alphafly.
@@mopoffool got it, the treads looked different than Alphafly.

1. Bobby's drive train could use a service
2. Can someone get him a gravel bike
this is a gravel bike, no? It's multi-purpose
@@GwenJorgensen 🤷♂️ the tires look pretty narrow in the video
