- "Broken Wings" was the first #1 single from Mr. Mister off their multi-platinum "Welcome To The Real World" 1985 release. The song has appeared in countless films, television shows and commercials. It was famously sampled by Tupac Shakur and has been covered by dozens of artists over the years and was introduced to a whole new generation of fans in the game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It was nominated for a Grammy and is one of the all-time top grossing popular songs from the 20th century.

A bass playing singer's not that rare, Thin Lizzy, Kiss, WASP, Motorhead or Rush. Bryan Adams at one point switched to bass. This is an 80s classic, doesn't get much better than this, there's a mood to this song making it perfect. This dreamy mood ended with the 80s, when the 90s brought on chaos musically, and even worse now in the 2000s where studio sound is the same for every artist regardless of genre.
