Kids eat Elmer's glue... Don't recommended eating it... but they know kids eat it... so it's safe for the skin... I will use Elmer's Glue before I use Vaseline... Vaseline is Petroleum Oil products... it does NOT let the skin Breath... You can't eat it either (LOL). JK

Rebecca Bell hmm probably not. Scar wax doesn't last very well when it's being worn on the skin. I'd recommend using latex, gelatine or Silicone instead :)

You could use petroleum jelly/Vaseline and flour (make sure it’s not self-rising), and try to make the ration somewhere around 2/1, adding more flour than Vaseline (sorry about the weird ratio, I’m a little rusty).
nooooo i tried that when i saw these recipes and the scar wax became way too hard. i tried a recipe though that was mostly vaseline and regular candle wax it turned out good but has lumps in it and is very sticky. I haven't tried with beeswax or soy wax but i think it might be worth the trip and purchase.
Bees wax works too. You can find it in craft stores in the candle-making section. (Now that I think about it, you would probably find the soy wax there, too.)

Soap and flour work super well if you don’t have Vaseline or whatever they had! Blend with room tep/warm water and use orange soap!
What can U use that's not flour?
I also use like cotton and elmers glue on my face and it works really well but glue isn’t good for your face so I suggest not to use Elmers glue

If you add about 2-3 layers of clear liquid latex over the scar wax and let dry it should hold for a reasonable amount of time.

No it doesn't do the same thing. I mean, yes, but with very different amounts. For beeswax to work you will need a lot less wax and more vaseline.

I have made this but when i apply it on my skin a few seconda later when i apply foundation on it it gets dry and kinda peel off
You mix the pigment into the recipe, you don’t apply the foundation after.
Mines really brittle when i use it, also how long do you let it cool in the fridge?
ive re-done it over and over and still cant get it right!
