Eric, I found your channel a few years ago. I love the quality of your work and your builds. Through watching your channel, I found Martin and his channel when you shared a video of Martin's Jadgpanther build. I'm a retired machinist with many interests and hobbies. I've built model kits since I was 6 years old. I've been interested in military vehicles, so RC Tanks are a lot of fun. I know I need to learn 3D CAD, and get into 3D printing. Everything has become so expensive, and at my age, that's what's stopped me to move forward. I have a Dragon 1/6 M4 Sherman kit NIB, that I wanted to RC. As you mentioned, the track links and drive sprockets are the most difficult parts to make. I decided to sell the kit because I just can't afford to build it. But I'll continue to follow you and Martin and enjoy your builds and whatever you get yourselves into. Cheers from the USA!!!
Sad to hear that economical limits are holding you back, mate. If there's any comfort, 3D-printers, as well as rc electronics, are steadily decreasing in price and you get more for the $ for every year. Start simple, use plywood for the stuff that doesn't have to be printed and save your money for where it's needed. Or use hinges as tracks, if you can find some for cheap. 🙂 I hope you get around to accomplish your dreams!
@@builtbyWikander Eric, thank you very much for your encouragement. When the M4 kit and a really nice 1/6 scale T23 Turret are sold, that should pay for a nice 3D Printer.
Are there any companies out there that produce 1/4 scale RC tanks? I'm aware of Mark-1-Tanks but it doesn't look like they make them anymore. I see them all over youtube but can't I find any to purchase on the internet either as a kit or pre-built. Please help.
Finally.
🙏☀️🙏
Can't wait for number 2!
Thank you! We already have plans for nr 2 (and for better sound!)
@@builtbyWikander Oh sound is just fine. And theme is more and more interesting as you are making more and more videos.
Great video! I can't wait for the next video. Thanks for doing this.
Thanks a lot for watching! 🙏
Thanks for the video! It’s really interesting to hear some of the backstory for your interest in tanks!
Great to hear, thanks for watching! 🙏
Waited for this 😍
So cool to hear! We have lots of plans for more episodes, but let us know it you want us to cover a particular area within the rc tank hobby. 😊💪
@@builtbyWikander what about you both work together to build a new tank. it will be awesome to watch💫

I really enjoyed that, thanks gentlemen. Is that a Series 1 body on Defender running gear?
Thank you! 🙏 We'll be back with more episodes 💪😊 I think that is a Range Rover chassis, but I'm sure Martin will tell us shortly.
🙏🙂🤟✌️💪👍👌👏😎🇹🇭
@builtbyWikander Do you have 3d print model files and dimensions? It would be great if you could post them so we can make you amazing tanks!

Not many, I'm afraid. Many of the 1/4 models out there are scratch built, from what I understand.
