@@ThatGuy-vc7sr i believe it was a more modern thing, photos of him with the smoke in his hand still exist it was more of a change made after he died and disney was adjusting to the modern world, you cant exactly have a kiddy theme part with pictures of your creator smoking all around after it was just vilified.
My favorite game of all time. I had to mow a lot of lawns (if you know what I mean) back in the day to be able to afford this game. I was like twelve, so what I mean is I actually mowed a lot of lawns, because a sixty dollar game back then is like $50,000 in today’s inflated prices.

Not that anyone should care or even read this but over scan was the projected area past the 4:3 crt where, since it wasn't visible but the electron gun sweaps a little past it. Game designers and TV actually put data in the over scan area for things like sound and the like to be encoded. There's a lot more to it but it was part of the special nature of CRTs and modern wides end up seeing that data and not knowing what to do with it. That's also the capture cards problem
Subtly one of the best parts is that they don’t understand how the mushroom works when it come out. Depending on which side you hit the block the mushroom goes a certain direction but they clearly don’t know that and it’s pretty funny watching them chase them off ledges and into instantaneous damage the second they get it lol

I grew up with mario 3 and it's the best knowing so many hidden 1ups, coin trails, secret pipes, etc because it was literally your favorite game.. not many games pull that off anymore.
