Orem, UT Peterbilt 320 McNeilus ZR

So driving on I-15 through Utah, I decided to exit into Orem. Took me a few min to find route day, but I did! There's nothing good running there, just ZR's is all I was able to find. So, I decided to stop and film it. I've wanted to film a ZR, even though its not my favorite truck.
It was cool seeing this in person, since it was my first time seeing one operate. The arm does stick out like everyone says. That's a major default. Another cool feature is that it was servicing first generation Rotos, FA Cascades, and a few 120's! No Rehrigs!
The driver was super nice. I thank him for his kindness, and for letting me follow for nearly an hour. Sorry it took me so long to post this video.

What truck do you personally like? I drive a Pete with a Heil Durapack 7000 and I'm pretty quick with that. I'd personally love to try a ZR over anything else.

I love those durapacks! I'm an Amrep fan. I grew up with them, and always liked them. Heil trucks are great too. Not a huge fan of Rapid Rails.

You are right, not the best truck, but I thought that the ZR grippers were going to rape the 120's. But they held up great! Those FA's looked awesome! But the lids on the newer ones were very warped.

Nice video! The way this Pete sounds, It reminds me of the Pete Automizer I got on film a couple of years ago, It kinda sounds like this truck but it doesn't scream like a little girl going to and from cans LOL! question regarding the operation of this truck: since the operator stays in the cab of the truck when he pick ups the cans, is there some sort ofr camera in the area of the truck where he actually dumps the trash into so he can actually see if he empties everything out of the cans????

Andrew Silva Yes. Theres a camera in the hopper. It can show what falls out of the cart. Also it shows the inside of the cart. That way you can tell if the cart is still full or not.

why cant people just put the yard waste in the yard waste bins are they that lazy they cant roll out 2 bins lol another thing that bugs me is autopack packing after every bin guess he doesn't want too push the button too pack lol I would have stuck that box in the recycle should have left the other bins full of brush yeah there might have been trash mixed in but hey they sort all the greens out its a pain in the ass but people don't care always here the same it all goes too 1 place like the truck looked like it just came from the dealer

In Utah, green waste programs dont exist. In Orem, green waste is optional, and very few residents participate since there's a monthly fee to have a green waste cart. One box in the landfill isnt going to hurt anyone. Again, Utah is very behind on automated recycling and greens. Many cities I went through didnt have a recycling program. Every resident had 1-2, 90 gallon carts, and everything went in it.
