That obladi oblada bass is unmistakeable.
Very difficult to figure out. Paul's basslines don't usually follow the melody. Got Dig a Pony. Love that bass line!

Don't feel bad. I only got 7 right, and I'm a bassist, and also played guitar in a Beatles cover band. These were tough!
I didn't keep score, but I found some of them were extremely easy to figure out and some were extremely hard.

Only 4/15, it really was almost impossible, they sound so perfect along with everything else but it's so hard to distinguish them when isolated

Great stuff! You really learn to appreciate Paul's bass playing with something like this, and see just how much he added to the music. Wow!
Macca's baseline was like a song within a song.
I'm not a HUGE fan and I only got Ob-la-di, ob-la-da. Lady Madonna was on the tip of my tongue but i couldn't pull it out. The infuriating thing about these is that I'm usually on the right track. Like with The Night Before, I said it was early, off A Hard Day's Night, but couldn't pull it.
I could answer very fast Yesterday and Blackbird!! lol

Actually I fared terribly on those but seemed to do very well otherwise. Why didn't those make any sense to me? Were they quiet because they were songs without basslines?

Very fun! I missed both of the no-bass ones. I also missed the very first one, "From Me to You" - that song seems to have a pretty generic early-Beatles bass line.

13 is one of Macca’s best and most underrated bass lines!
I got 2-5, 7, 8, 13 and 15. 7 out of 15 for someone who doesn't play guitar or bass is pretty good I think! I feel quite proud.
You had gotten me with Yesterday, but when you did the thing for Blackbird, I caught on. The only other two I messed up on were Here Comes the Sun and In My Life.

12 out of 13, no way I'm counting Yesterday and Blackbird. The one I missed is From Me To You, no idea why but I totally blanked on it. It had me worried, but the rest were fine.
I got Obla-di obla-da, Lady Madonna, You never give me your Money, Yesterday (no bass line :) ), Dig a Pony, The Night Before, Blackbird (no bass line again :) ), Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, If I Fell and Let It Be. High Level, man ! Good job
Awesome series, man! It was hard! Took me a long time to guess some of those. 1st episode : 8 out of 15, 2nd episode : 12 out of 15, 3rd episode : 5 out of 15.
It’s interesting to see how Paul’s bass lines improved as they moved from album to album! Well done Lefty that was fun. I managed the later songs as I think the bass lines became more complex and therefore, for me, recognizable!

Somehow I did better on this one than the previous one. I actually got Blackbird as well because I knew it and Yesterday as being songs with no bassline or "drums", but when you started tapping in the beginning I got it. 8/15.

All of them, my doubts were only if yesterday was before blackbird, once again no flats on strings and some Ghost notes makes it harder to guess if you are used to hear flats and nylon wounds sounds

I missed two: From me to you & In my life. Just barely got Here comes the Sun. The clock was running & there was literally less than one second left when it came to me. Yesterday was a little tricky as well. I thought: Okay, it's a song with no bass. First song that came into my head was Yesterday. And I guessed right. For Blackbird, again, a song with no bass, which led me to Blackbird. The tempo seemed right so that was my guess and I was right. Your clue showing the descending chromatic line also helped.

Got five. Interesting to hear just the bass to songs I know so well but had no clue what they were, if I heard the guitars I would know in a second. Credit to McCartney for giving lots of dimension to songs without you even realizing it.

obladi, lady madonna, yesterday, dig a pony, lucy in the sky and let it be were all pretty easy! obladi was definately the easiest in all these videos! but I enjoyed watching all of them and guessing along. Thanks
I felt like this was the easiest one, and the first one the hardest.

I missed the 3 songs I can actually play on guitar - Yesterday,Blackbird,and Here Comes the Sun. Here Comes the Sun really threw me, yet I can finger pick the whole song! I love Paul's Bass parts so I really enjoy these videos!

7/15. Its so hard because I feel like I know the bass lines but I dont know from what song. If I fell was easy for me though, since ive been playing that song on guitar a million times. It was the first song I learned on guitar

Lefty! I love love your Beatles covers and as a fellow bassist and Beatles fan I have a genuine suggestion - the Seymour Duncan humbucker pickups in your hofner will turn it into a completely different instrument. It will still have that hollowbody Hofner sound but the low end will be much tighter and the Rickenbacker-era basslines will sound much closer to the sound of the bass on those albums. Just telling you cause I did it with my hofner and it completely changed the game.
what are the pickups? like the name of em. i kinda want a rick-ish sound for my 62 hofner
