- I recently picked up a stack of old banknotes from my antique dealer. I got a great deal on the bills, but the deal got even better when he included a coin collection in the deal for absolutely FREE! And that's a price I can get behind! Make sure to check the 1916 British penny for the recessed ear variety :)
Good point! I have actually found one in a purchase back in November. It's hard to tell by the ear itself on a circulated coin, but a clear diagnostic is a shorter denticle on the obverse.
Crushed the like button! EXCELLENT video and thank you so much for sharing!
Much appreciated! Thanks so much!!
Awesome finds. I go goose prickles seeing those shiny old ones. So cool.
Thanks, Nicole! It was lots of fun looking through these oldies!
Nice haul - can't wait to see the video with the banknotes.
They're sitting here in an envelope waitng for me to shoot the video. Except for pulling them out when I filmed this intro, I haven't looked through them. I'm really looking forward to it! I already know there are a few gems in there!
Great score!
Thanks!!
Amazing coins, Thank you for sharing.👍👍
Thanks for watching! I really appreciate it!
I wish I would find more Canadian coins!🤞
Good luck!
Great coin lot! Nice to see some KGV coins, especially the pennies.
Anytime I get a bunch of older coins, that's what I'm really hoping to see!
Thats a pretty nice freebie. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely! Not a bad bunch to just throw in with the deal!
I like how you collect. It's a real challenge. Also love the whitmans. I do the nickels in those. Since you have to remove the coins to see the other side, I put the obverse up if I have a nice problem free one, and beaver up if I should be looking for an upgrade. So then I don't have to waste extra time comparing which scratch is more detrimental. I can automatically reject a small scratch and save a bit of time having to mess with the 1960s paper folder that either holds the coin with the grip of death or not at all. 😂
That's so true - they're either impossible to get out, or they want to fall out every time you open the folder! ;)
More great coins from a great source, James! Never mind sending coins back to the bank. I know of a special place for them😅
I have a feeling I already know the zip code!! ;)
Nice finds! Wow!
Thanks - pretty nice add-on to the deal! Thanks for watching!
I need to get one of those large cent albums, I currently have a Whitman but I like seeing both sides of the coins and I recently bought a good sized lot of Canadian large cents
I definitetly prefer seeing both sides as well - particularly with the older coins with our past monarchs. If you decide to order the large cent album from Lighthouse, remember to use the code CRH20 to get 20% off!
@@CADRollHunter absolutely! Thank you 🙏🏼
That is sooooo cool 😆
Thanks so much!
I think that 45 v nickel is the rarer no chrome verity.
I'll have to take another look!
@@CADRollHunter Yeah, make sure you check the others steel nickels too. I found a 45 no chrome while looking through some of my grandmothers old coins, I was pretty lucky because it’s in an EF-40.
