Great thank you if ur we ever see u at the jetty would u mind giving us some pointers on how to set up our poles if you don’t mind thank u
@@jasanikaraoke sure. I’ll probably be there sometime in late sept to early November
Great thanks we have tried the pier in garden city didn’t catch anything that we can keep so I’ll see you then
You should hold the net VERTICAL, verses horizontal. It makes it much easier to loft those bigger fish. It’s easy to bend a net holding it like that. Great catches !!!
One of my favorite spots. Too bad I haven’t been out there that many times this year though.
Same here. Looking to go again this year hopefully!
Y’all too beast! Great video Nomku!
you and Peng did great! Love these Videos! Keep them coming!
Thanks Kathleen!
Looks fun
🤙
Nice to see some hming brothers out on yt doing some jetty fishin
What size hooks do you use. I was just there today. Awesome fishing but not sure if I'm using right tackle. I was using cut finger mullet and live.
You can use anywhere from 5/0-7/0 circle hook. 5/0 for smaller baits and 7/0 for bigger.
What do you guys use for this been trying to get into it i also live in myrtle beach. Whats the set up and bait?
You can use live mullet or any cut bait such as whiting or spots. You can use anywhere from 30-50 lb braid with a 40-60 lb flurocarbon leader. Depending on where you fish based on current or surf, you can use anywhere from a size 3-8 oz weight and circle hook. Just make sure you have a rod that is rated for that weight.
Great fishing video.
I’ll be in Myrtle next week .
Do you have any reccomnadations on places to fish .
I won’t have any rods or tackle with me . So maybe you have a boat or charter idea .
Or a friend that fishes from the jetties
Thanks
Thanks for watching! You can try Garden City Pier or any pier around the Myrtle beach area. They will have rod rentals and bait there for you. Fishing should be good all around the area this time.
Nice catches
I’m coming down that way and really want to put some lines in the water
What’s the action like late February
Would appreciate some insight
Thanks! It would depend on where you would fish. Surf is probably going to be tough, pier is probably good for whiting right now. If you kayak or go inshore, you can catch some reds and trouts.
Would the jettys be worth visitng in early May. I cant seam to find the jettys on google earth
Yes it would be, might run into some good schools of Spanish/blues. Bunch of sharks and stingrays out there if you just want to have fun. Some sheepshead around.
What did you guys use for bait to catch those reds?
Cut and live mullet
Hi how are you I just moved to Murrells inlet my wife an I are pretty new at this can you tell me where that place u were fishing at that looks like a long road and best bait to use and hooks to use if you can please help us out that would be great and also a good place to crab at .thank u
That's awesome. This is over by Huntington Beach State Park. You would have to walk about a mile to get to the jetty rocks. Best baits would be live mullets or menhaden. Size hook would vary based upon the size of bait you are using so it's kinda hard to say. If you are looking for Spanish Mackerel, normally gotcha plugs or spoons work. You can also crab at the jetty, if you go towards the marshes you should be able to get some.
Is there still red fish in the summer months?
There may be a few here and there. Caught some on the pier before.
What bait are you using?
Mullets or any type of cut bait
I’ve always wanted to come down and catch some bull reds. I’m planning a trip in late October would definitely appreciate and tips you could give me
You can use live/fresh mullet either cut or full. 40-50 lb braid with a 60 lb fluorocarbon leader. Make sure you have atleast 200-300 yd spool. There are big sharks around that time that could spool you as well.
Bout how far out on the jetty. And do you fish the Inlet side or ocean side
@@carlbowen7340 both sides. You can fish anywhere honestly, surf or mid to end of jetty. They’re up close.
Thank you. Hopefully see y’all there
What bait or lure were you using to catch those big reds?
Using mullets
