A work of art! . Sometimes I wish that I had gone 1/24 rather than 1/32. My track is not wide enough 🙈.
I hear you, just like me. However, it's never too late to simply by a 1/24 and just look at it, they are beautiful! You could also just buy a few bits of Carrera track and have a 'play set' just to watch it run for the joy 😀
Thanks Rob, a nice view of a lovely looking model. There's a pitfall with creating models of the Gulf Porsches that ran at Daytona (like this one) though. The drivers, when racing around the banking couldn't see the track very far ahead because the top of the windscreen was too low. So they had an extra crescent-shaped window added above the windscreen to give a bit of a further view ahead. It was there on the Gulf cars in both 1970 and 1971, as photos of those cars will show. While on this model you can see the moulding lines where this window should have been, the window isn't there. When everything else has received such care including the different number roundels on the sides, it's a shame that this window wasn't added to the model. I don't suppose it's beyond your modelling prowess to add one in though!
That is a job I could very easily do, and I may just do that later on 🙂 I've often seen this model with a grey block above the window and often thought is 'should' be a window, now I know, so thanks. It's mad to think most of the time, a grey blob is good enough when it should be glass.
What a great car these are, definitely one of our favorites in our collection. The 512m runs really well against these as does the upcoming ford gt40! Nice unboxing!
Yes, she is a beauty, I have all the BRM cars coming to me soon for modelling from Slot32, so lots to play with. I find these 'talking videos' quite hard, but thanks for your kind words 🙂
@@SwiftSlots you'll have a ball with them!! Looking forward to seeing your painting results.
Great review and beautiful car! 🙌🏻
Reviews are not my strong point, but I do my best, thank you 🙂
Great review. What is line to drive a 1/24 scale slot car versus 1/32?
I have no idea sadly as I do not have a track for 1/24 yet 😞 I will be making one soon though!
Love my example of this car that i bought from the first run about mid last year with the blue 512 M cars.
Still waiting for enough people in our club to buy these previously hard to get cars so we have enough for a class to race.
Can't resist being a smart alec from your comment at 5:32 about a coolant filler. Being an air cooled car thats where they top up the air. Or really these air cooled cars relied to a large extent on oil being transferred to oil cooler radiators for these oil coolers to do a large part of the air cooling. So may be for oil.
Yes, you are right, it is for oil 😀
Beautiful car only problem is if I bought one I’d have to get another to have a running mate.
Only 1/32 in my fleet of used cars 😂
Yes, she is indeed "beautiful", but the collector in me is more than happy enough to just look at her knowing she could run if I had the track. 1/24 collecting would get costly real fast!
Great review thank you
Thank you, I'm not too good on these types of review videos, but I did my best 😀
I’m not sure the filler cap on the body would be for coolant Rob, what with it being an air cooled engine 😊
LOL, good point, it was for oil.
I must resist... I must resist... I must resist
LOL, how can you?
