Thanks man for the comment. The calve raises may have helped prime those muscles in your lower legs prior to jumping. Over time it will add strength, but you shouldn't focus only on calve raises as it's highly unlikely they alone caused you to jump higher!
@Jay Activist Great Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I would love your opinion. Have you tried - Schallingora Increase Capability Scheme (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a good one off product for learning how to dunk like a total badass without the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my best friend Jordan got great success with it.
Idk know about that i could grab the rim and when lucky sometimes block people off the backboard but only if the layup was low I was far from dunking couldn't even dunk tennis ball 2 months of calf raises and I can dunk comfortable nothing crazy tho
Hey I'm finally getting my chance for starting point guard do you have any tips for how to shoot better with your left hand , mostly layups ?? Please get back to me when you can asap 💯
Practice close to the hoop and experiment with putting spin on the ball and different angles on the backboard. To improve its mainly through practice and repetition, this will boost your muscle memory. Begin standing and laying the ball up with your left then slowly get into running and use different finishes like reverses, high of the glass and runners and floaters, hope this helps!
Thank you for taking my question. I enjoy your work and was hoping you might be willing to offer guidance from your perspective. I am 51. My desire is to improve my vertical jump. I am a 6’6” dunker/hooper who has been grounded due to weight gain and knee pain. My knee pain has decreased considerably, but I feel like I’m back in 9th grade trying to dunk happy to slap the glass. How often would you recommend I train legs? What kinds of exercises and frequency? I have been training with deadlifts and calves at least twice a week.
Is it possible to dunk in like 2-3 months at 5'8, 121lbs and 13.6 years old? I can touch regulation hoops' board with like 1/4 of my middle finger, but I have like a 28-30 inch vertical. Idk how to increase my vert, any help?
jaredcole150 yes, it's possible, I'm 5'6 or probably shorter I can palm the regulation backboard but I don't think my vertical is anyhigher than 24" Currently, but I'm still working towards my goal, I increased my vertical by 2" by using weight room in athletics past weeks

I swear to god doing calf raises gave me hangtime before I could dunk. Felt like I was in the air for two minutes

Work on ball handling and finishing for control with your off-hand. Rep out drills from both sides of the court and with both hands
You could do a miken drill for layups and reverse layups to help with finishing at the rim.

You sound like Blake griffin
Great vid man! was wondering how to become quicker off the dribble and to be explosive when dribbling the ball and when attacking the hoop?

Is 1000 calf raises before bed good enough?
Thanks man for your videos. What should i do to dunk with two hands cause i can only dunk with one
Work on increasing total power output, stretching out your IT band and upper body, and start with a smaller ball (tennis ball or volleyball)
Bless g.Thanks alot
