one of my favorite videos ever seen. inspires me everytime and i usually return here to watch it again and again. great song. i think the parts of video taken by a simple camera ,is that true? simple cameras and beautifull minds always give best results.
Ugh, their singer is awful. He can't hit the notes Reed can, and his accent really doesn't harmonize with the music well, which Reed is rather good at.
i've clicked through some of the comments to clarify... the band was called $10,000 Gold Chain. it was a side project of Mike McCready from Pearl Jam; this was the only material they recorded. the song was originally on the soundtrack for "The Cable Guy" in 1996.
This isn't bad at all.But the least one could do would be to mention it's a cover. I ain't gonna eat any sh.t for saying so, whether you like it or not. :p
DIg the " BUCK OWENS" Harmony Git tar sweet as suggar . Don't sang you ain't got nut in ! You gots ya a cool Red White and BLue git tar ... and that is sum tin.... and you gots ya a knock off VU tune video on U-Tubes... Now where I comes frum A fellow with a Buck Owens Git Tar and a Video on UTubes is got somethang.... ... Ah-Sooooooooo !
@lovealiceinchains that sucks, one of my cousins drowned along time ago, the current was way to strong on lake superior, terrible way to die. sorry for you lose.
@lovealiceinchains that is very true, i heard it in the movie and this is the first one that popped up, i though it sounded different. still a good cover though. this song reminds me of lost love :P
I understand why you use a super 8 style to shoot, but let's face it, you weren't even born when VU reigned and ain't nuthin' gonna bring those times back...nice cover tho!
Well. Umm. One of my favorite lonely beautiful songs. Postives..sometimes beautiful lead vocal execution with the distraction of a canned ( recorded in a dead room) audio quality to it. Only other negative? The guitar seems a bit heavy metal in tone when the song rises in feeling, compared to the almostr spiritual rise in the original. But hell. What a great attempt. I really enjoyed it. Keep making the forgotten remembered. PS: Listen to Rough Mix by Ronnie Lane and Pete Townsend now!
Excellent cover! This is one of the rare times anybody has done The Velvets justice... I like the visuals as well... Well done!
Who is the genius that filmed this and pieced it together. Absolute brilliance on every level. The original, the cover, and the film. Great vision.
You guys have done a great job. Lou would only appreciate. Thanks
my favourite song at the moment.
this is the best cover I've ever heard.
Away-we-go brought me here
back when Seattle didnt suck horendously
Preety cool. but there's nothing like having a smoke and listening to the "Velvet underground" version. all of "Loaded" actually.
one of my favorite videos ever seen.
inspires me everytime and i usually return here to watch it again and again.
great song.
i think the parts of video taken by a simple camera ,is that true?
simple cameras and beautifull minds always give best results.
This is a fantastic cover. Thanks for this
anybody tell me whos this band please???? amazing version ...
It was recorded by an "All Star Band" in seattle by the name of $10,000 Gold Chain for the Cable Guy sound track
Gotta admit, I prefer it to the original... I didn't even realise it wasn't at first! I think my band gotta do this... thanks for the info x
i watched the cable guy and it wasn't there. is it the one starring Jim Carrey
actually I´m nearly crying... really great song... love it
Age 61, wow!...not many things wow me at 61, so wow! Thanks for sharing 🙏🕉️
@endochaotic You realize this Mike McCready and a couple guys from various other Seattle bands... Right?
awesome!
Ugh, their singer is awful. He can't hit the notes Reed can, and his accent really doesn't harmonize with the music well, which Reed is rather good at.
Lou - who is one of my musical heroes - didn't sing; Doug The Usurper did. He also played the soaring and quite glorious guitar break.
There's something about this song, whoever covers it, it sounds good.

One of those songs you hear the cover before the original and yeah this is my original. Comin to you from the 2019.
My point is that you attributed the cover to the guy who posted the video.
That's all.
Wonderful rendition, and I loved the imagery. So, So, Good... Thank you
actually good but original is better
I disliked this video just simply because it was misleading. If it's a cover then admit. Don't take credit where credit's not due...
What??? You are a idiot.... No question.........
December 2020

Impressed! And I rarely am.
Put cover in your title, some of us are trying to find the real thing.
@ugooood Doug Yule sang original Velvet Underground this song
Great cover of the best song ever!
They totally left it out! That was no doubt the best part of the song!
É um bom cover, mas necessário pôr isso escrito!
originally it was the Velvet Underground...

Moe tucker didn't play drums on "Loaded."
