Collins' first season was a transition from triple option. Okay, you can give him a bit of slack. Collins' second season was 2020 COVID. Again, some slack is understandable. But starting with his 3rd season...he's now had 2 solid recruiting classes. At this point the team should be *HIS*. And he still only won 3 games. This was his 4th season and the teams still looks as bad as the 2019 team. Glad to have him gone.
2 solid recruiting classes? Collins best class was the Jahmyr Gibbs and Jeff sims 2020 class ranked #28. He never had another class ranked in the top #40.
I have thought for the last 2 years that Sims was a large part of Collins' problems. Highly recruited, but never effective at the college level, it was almost like "He's my guy and I'll sink or swim with him!" Well he finally sank!
I'll keep repeating this no matter the video or forum, he took over a 7 win team. Bring up the transition from a triple option system or him recruiting "higher level talent" all you want, it was still a bowl team. 3 wins...3.WINS in each season I was skeptical of the man during his first press conference, he came off as a Dan Quinn type coach, and proved to be a snake oil salesman. good riddance
Bring in a AD that can land Prime Time as the next HC. But Tech is too stuck up to go there and will look for a more boring and average coach. They proved they don't really care about losing by promoting Key to interim head coach. Key should have been fired along with Collins, hell before firing Clown Collins.
If Tech were smart. The powers that be would be on the phone with SANDER'S right now. And would try their best to get him to come to the flat's after Jackson states season is over. Deion instantly brings tech into the limelight. And if Deion can get 4-5 star's to go to lowly Jackson state. Imagine what he could do at Tech. Yeah the Academics makes it tougher. But if O'Leary and Gailey can get top 25 classes. Sure prime could get top 15 if not top 10 classes. And when you hire Deion the alumni with deep pockets would open their wallet's so fast , make your head spin. And with the increased donations $$$ Tech would be able to hire better coordinator's and improve the facilities. But most likely they'll hire some barely heard of assistant coach from a mid tier program.

@@hankhill5622 I don’t know why fans ignore the reality that programs who win championships are at least top 5 in recruiting every year. Name a program in the last two decades that has won a national title without a top 5 recruiting class? If your okay with winning 8 games a year and watching your counterpart in Athens do the real winning then go ahead and hire a mediocre coach is all I’m saying. That’s why the Georgia Tech fan base is almost non existent now is bc they have been okay with a “winning season” that excludes any hope of a national title. When Collins was hired, went to a Temple blog, and 80% of the fans were stoked to see him gone. Says a lot.
Are you the Paul Delphos from Boston MA? Hey, this is your old roommate, Jem Morris. Hope you're doing well. Proud of the team vs Pitt last night.

The problem of recruiting for high quality players for classes, just show Vanderbilt former coach at Penn State.

James Chadwell. We need a spread with a little option mixed in to level the playing field.
No you need an offense that attracts 5 star talent. Better throw that triple option back to the 40’s bud. That is if you wanna win a championship

Gary Patterson... he can do alot with nothing, Dell McGee is a great choice
Football obviously isn't important to Georgia Tech, just look at their rebuilt stadium. They've become ACC bottom feeders.
