Man this stuff is crazy incredible! I have a couple of the Lamsons patented 1860 with wood handles and what looks to iron bolsters with a long thin almost Kephart style blade. These early cutlery just amazes me.
Great looking items, Dwayne! That civil war slipjoint is impressive. That Boker looks awesome. Great old pieces. You find the best stuff and always have geat old pictures and information to go along. Have a great evening!
I have an old two prong stag handle fork but I have no idea who made it. It has a silver throat and butt end that's just marked "sterling", no other markings anywhere.
I can’t recall that stamp. I bet you’ll run across an old cutlery catalog someday showing that Name. Back in the day some hardware store chains would use Names like that for a short period on one of their products. Cutlery companies would contract and stamp them as such.
