As a boy I dreamt of taking canoe trips like this. Later, after I married this wonderful redhead, her father and I paddled many enjoyable miles in the March Mad Hatter's Race on the Grand River in NE Ohio. Often our jeans froze solid to the bottom of the aluminum canoes we used back in the early 70's. Very jealous of today's tech canoes. Congrats to Chris, well done ! At 77 I will need to have my grown boys step into these adventures. Kevin, thanks to you and your friends for all you do for us armchair adventurers 📷👀❗👏👏
Any video with Kevin, Andy and Tim is my favorite video. Throw that gorgeous new Nova Craft into the mix and it’s like getting a big ol’ hunk of carrot cake with extra thick frosting on it 😆
I want my future to look something like this😂 you should be so proud of yourself Kevin, the amount of inspiration(and laughs) you put out here is immeasurable.
Great video Kevin. That is a beautiful looking finish on the canoe. I see you boys didn't starve with the backwoods menu prepared by Chef Tim. Say hello to Andy and I hope Chris is out of shock. Thanks for taking us along. Cheers 👍
Nice looking boat…so sweet to see Kevin and Angel out for a paddle….I have a 40lb 12 ft Nova Craft….very easy for a senior to carry… have already had snow on the ground here at the north end of Temagami.
Thank you for the video Kevin, Im an old Danish canoeist, who used to do wilderness solo canoe trips in Sweden, some call it Europes Canada :) your videos take me right back to the wild, wish I was there
Best comedic trio ever......and they canoe! Love the Nova Craft form....that innegra cloth looks great and probably takes a good few pounds off. Cheers
Great video Kevin. Beautiful looking canoe. If this was Oct 7- 8, I think I was one camp site up from you. The scenes of the creek, moon and the morning snow are what I experienced.
@@TheHappyCamper No I was across from him at 521. Along the shoreline from your site. I didn't get in until 3pm. So I spent my late afternoon processing wood for my stove instead of having time to paddle around the lake like I usually do.
Awesome looking canoe and design made right in my hometown Lovely fall canoe trip to do a test run on Nova crafts new canoe with these guys , trees looked gorgeous, food looked mighty tasty the video had it's comical moments lol Andy is a hoot lmao. Id love to own one of those new canoes nice piece of work congratulations Nova Craft for this piece of art.
Howdy neighbour. I’m in the same town. It’s awesome to see all of these fellows together having so much fun. I’m looking to buy a canoe next spring providing treatment goes well this winter.
So happy to see you out with a new camping canoeing video especially with Andy and Tim there. Poor Chris I bet there was a lot of unusable footage...LOL The colors are so beautiful !!
I have sent the idea to my publisher. We will have to wait for the Top 70 Canoe Route re-write book to be out this spring. Maybe after that they said. However, most of the 10 extra routes I added to the now Top 60 are portage free
That looks like a nice canoe! I love Andy's hat! It looks just like a Voyageur toque! Can people buy them from where he got it? I have a Voyageur/Metis sash that I bought from Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park years ago. Would be cool to have a Voyageur toque to go along with it!
Beautiful boat. First thought I had was; they're copying Swift but both companies have Beautiful boats. All depends on what you're using it for. Great video as always.
I was really looking forward to a thorough review of this beautiful boat, instead I got a cooking show and a bit of the canoe in action. Guess I'll wait for other reviews to decide if this is the boat for me.
I'm sure someone else will do that for you. My channel is a mix of all things and I'm good with that. I believe Chris covered it all in his interview. After all, it's just a new look, not a new design or material.
It seems some people are getting messages from my KCHappyCamper RUclips channel that they have won a new Nova Craft Canoe. Sorry, you haven't. It's a scam. Don't give them any information.
It's a pretty boat! Where were you that you got snow already? I'm going out backpacking in a couple if weeks and now I'm wondering how many layers I need 🤣
Is this a clear gelcoat or just the bare resin, like in Northstar's IXP or Clipper's duraflex layups? It'd be nice if the tuffstuff expedition would lose a few pounds without the gelcoat. How does tuffstuff compare to the above layups? And how abrasion resistant (dragging through shallows and brush) is it. Can I fix damage at home?
I believe it's a clear gelcoat. It's about 5 pounds lighter but they put skid plates on it so it's probably 3 pounds lighter. It's just as tough as the reg. tuffstuff.
We do the dishes up with soap and hot water in a big pot or wash basin - away from the lake - and then rinse everything in a water bag full of water and bleach.

Loved the last song you used....so fitting. Nice looking canoe.

Thank you so much.
Lovely to see classic design with modern materials - I do enjoy paddling my Bob Special in TuffStuff, but the "clear" does look very cool.
Beautiful boat, I like the clear
Great video Kevin.

Andy and Kevin together in a video is always a good time. Great chemistry 😂 like 2 childhood friends who never grew up, still havin fun! 👍🏼👍🏼

Do you find the 12 at all tippy? I have it and am getting used to it.
@@Ryan-ts4iq no, so far it has been great.
Kevin, you keep us smiling. God bless you into the New Year!
I own a Prospector 16 in the clear gel coat TuffStuff and it is a beauty.
Long Lake Access. I did most of my canoeing in high school here, when it was still crown land. Great spot.
I rarely comment on videos, but you make it so it does hit me to my heart. Kudos to you for being an artist. I wish I could of done what you did.

Have owned a UL bob special since 1990 . Have put the boat through its paces and its still going strong.
Beautiful canoe, and hilarious group of guys. Had me chuckling the whole way through 😆
Awesome!
Loved the song at the end, beautiful
Best comedic trio ever......and they canoe! Love the Nova Craft form....that innegra cloth looks great and probably takes a good few pounds off. Cheers
Wow, that is a gorgeous looking canoe and steaks, what a great combo! We definitely enjoyed the video.
Thanks
Good Times and another great looking and performing canoe by the folks over at Nova Craft Canoe
Enjoyed video entertainment as always and great intro to a new canoe. Nice variety of meals
The 4of you need to do more trips together, loved this.
Thanks. It was a good trip.
Novacrap. Invincible Esquif for the win.

The one up on the rock ridge - green canoe?

Great trip and great looking canoe!!
Lollypop pork chops and snow flakes, gotta love fall canoe trips!
Kevin never question TIM on his fire and cooking ...thanks

Great video, very nice canoe and lots of fun :-)
That canoe sure looks nice. Great trip, shame that is probably the last we will see of Chris.

It looks like it belongs! Belongs in the wild, belongs on the water, even looks good up close.
Beautiful scenery, canoeing, food and endless entertainment. Love it. 👍
Where was this trip, reminds me of the Kawarthas.

Could you be convinced to do a review of that Helsdon Hanmock? I’m curious about them.
Yes, that's on my next trip with Tim. It was his first time out with it, so he wanted more time testing it out before a solid review.

Love your videos and interactions with Chris, Tim and Andy. What model is Andy's chair? Great supper!
Not sure. I'll ask him. I think he got it at MEC a few years back
@@TheHappyCamper
I emailed Andy and he replied. Thanks a lot for your fun videos!
Could I get a non-gelcoat, resin only prospector? My complaint with gelcoat is its tendency to chip and crack.
I was wondering how do you clean up the pots/dishes? I am still trying to figure out the best way. Thank you.
We do the dishes up with soap and hot water in a big pot or wash basin - away from the lake - and then rinse everything in a water bag full of water and bleach.
Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving! I may have missed it but where did this adventure take place?
Kawartha Highlands - Cox Lake
nice
Is this in Kawartha Highlands PP ? Maybe Cox lake?
Yep. Cox Lake. I think campsite 522 - the one near the portage into Sparkler Lake
That canoe looks good. Are the gunnels vinyl coated?
I believe so.
"Right to the wood"
Hold my beer
Now if you guys would only be a little less staid and withdrawn !
Kevin, can you walk and chew gum at the same time? Lol
Those dirty kayaker's have to cook their own bacon!
Y'all sure know how to eat well.
😂🤣
