Yeah, man. For the last 25 years I have sing this part :
"And the people bowed and prayed, to the digital God we made"!
Nothing new, the rabbis say that in the days of Egypt the idols did have some power and moved and stuff.
That was my thought as well, maybe these guys were time travelers and wrote about what they saw.
It's clear that the AI has no real 'understanding' of the song as a whole, but every so often it utterly nails the image for a given verse.
Well with this specific AI, each verse is individually plugged in so the A.I. has no context.

Because each sentence of the lyrics are put in individually, maybe when these become more advanced we will be able to put in whole songs/poems and it will generate an image about it
@@herohonda4183 I would absolutely love to see what would happen, how could something fit an entire song within a single image seems impossible but it could also be hugely complex with many intricacies representing individual lines
This song I’d imagine would be someone in a dark, rainy night looking at a street light in awe and terror as they view what’s inside. This one is very similar to what the song describes but what’s in the light is what would interest me
I loved loved LOVED the "disturb the sound of silence" image on 1:44. Silent trees in the distance looking like soundwaves, it's brilliant. If a human made such a thing I would think that they are so smart.

I think the lyrics really lend themselves to this kind of image, but I also like the little animation

as someone who's been a Simon & Garfunkel since I was a child, I've never seen a video so perfectly reflect/illustrate the eerieness of this song

I have watched a few of these now, and I can't help but get the feeling that AI is going through a Goth stage, it is all so dark. Who knows maybe it will grow out of this and cheer up.

I personally knew this song for years before the Disturbed version, and I regard Disturbed's take as a powerful interpretation of a profound and brilliant pop song.
@@steveread4021 I used to have all of Simon and Garfunkel's albums. Personally, I have never been a disturbed fan and feel their version has been American Idol-ized if ya know what I mean, like he over-acted it or something. He made it way to dramatic, it's a simple thought that builds but that distrubed guy kinda vomits it out in this way of over dramatizing vocals

@@Harry-yx2on if you like it then I would never take that away from you. There is nothing wrong with anyone who likes it. Music is art and art is 50% participation. If you like it that's fine with me, but it gets on my every last nerve. It's just my personal opinion that it's the absolute worst cover of any song by any band in the history of cover songs ever. You are completely entitled to your opinion, and I respect that. I'm from 1973, I have a completely different outlook on music than someone form 1999 I'm sure.
Well done, this is probably the best AI video I've seen so far and not just because of the choice of music.

Creepy, disturbing and beautiful! This is as much about an AI’s ability to create compelling images as it is about our brain’s ability to find meaning and emotion in these compelling images. I spent an evening with one of the free online imagine creating programs. I entered a line from a favorite song and was blown away by the artistic and ‘imaginative’ interpretation of the lyrics. As an aspiring amateur painter I was also dismayed that this ‘mindless-soulless’ algorithm did a better job than I am capable. I decided to put my defeatist reaction aside and am now inspired by the quality of these creations to make my own attempts more emotive, more expressive, more spontaneous, more risky, more stylized. I think being bested by an automaton has given me the kick-in-the-ass I have needed to take my own work to a higher level. That said, I am really glad I am not a professional artist who now has to compete with a computer program. 🤖🎨🖼️

I grew up in the 60's when we had LPs and album art and really miss this type of imagery. My 17 yr old Nephew knows 6 computer coding languages including Linux and I am sure this tech would be his forte and something he understands. Old farts like me miss album art and LPs.

I thought it was interesting when it came to "the words of the prophet written on the subway ways" because in amongst the graffiti it had some arabic so it obviously must have drawn a connection to Muhammad
The additional subtle movements within the individual shots work wonderfully, at least in my senses. The fact that an "artificial mind", (not much artificial as non-organic), was so often able to catch the expressed emotions within the song. . . Well, was just scary, even if beautiful. Has anyone given this new art form, (that's so familiar but so different at the sane time), a name?

This is interesting. So the AI generated all of the images from the song lyrics? It didn't just search the internet to create the video? As someone else mentioned, how long before AI has a deeper understanding and can interpret or put things in context?
I input the lyrics line by line and for each lyric it outputs 4 image options that I choose from and edit into the video. Check my newest vid for an updated version with the new ai algorithm!

I love these videos, but honestly I wish there weren't the animations. For me at least, they pull focus away from the rest of the image, and it just loses some nuance. Still, it's your video, so feel free to ignore my opinion on this as I do enjoy it either way.
