@@haventthoughtofanameyet6364 most images you see and articles you read on the internet are AI generated. twitter is just AIs arguing with AIs, facebook is full of boomers sharing AI images. the company i work at had to prohibit chatgpt because the clients were complaining the code looked ugly, only to lift the ban a few months after because productivity fell down significantly. cars use AI to drive themselves, supermarkets use AI to track what you picked up from the shelves and charge you for it, e-commerces use AI to give an overview of the users' experiences and reviews and the list goes on.
it's literally revolutionizing the way our world works, for better or worse. it can do in seconds what took workers, artists, journalists, etc. hours or even days to make.

Most of great riffs in rock songs were or are based on some octave sequence where both low and high core tones come into play. Stargazer was constructed in that way, Kansas did very good job with that and other hard rock bands, with TOOL included, used that trick repeatedly.
It's not meant at all to diminish any of them. Infact, it's a form of paying respect to understanding of what great riffs should contain.
TOOL used that formula quite a bit, and each time pretty successfully. What TOOL is also great in is by using the ghost notes. There's lot of elements that make their music great, this one is just one of many.

I'm just old enough, born in 1965 in Los Angeles, to remember the actual hippies and the Peace and Love, with black light posters with the stoner art, the tiedyes and rainbows and making homemade candles, beads, flower power, stoned again, keep on trucking, American Flag peace signs, incense burning everywhere ....
This video artwork is exactly that style. It brought me back over 50 yrs ago. The end of the Vietnam War, Manson trials, older siblings and neighbors stoned and dropping acid drinking Boonesfarm Strawberry Wine, finding my dad and my uncle smoking a joint in the backyard on Thanksgiving.
Add that artwork and nostalgia to one of my favorite bands of the past almost 40 years and one of their best songs, and you have a music video masterpiece.

it's doing exactly what it's meant to and what it was asked to. An image generation model nterpreting the single line of lyric it was given with no context. Then someone stitched them together.
Give the same AI the whole song and it will make something different, but still not what You're looking for, because again, that's not what it was built for or the user is intentionally using it in a different way or you won't agree with the interpretation.
You need to use the right tool in the right way to get what you're looking for. And the tools probably don't exist yet.
I thought some of the images were interesting but I'm not gonna pretend that this is supposed to be some high critique of the song or get mad at AI 😂
