Thanks to this video and after months of deliberating I decided to buy one of these, however I got the step through version also in White and having got out yesterday for the first proper ride, I can honestly say, I love it. It made a 10km cycle track feel like a trip to the local shop, people on normal peddle bikes were no match for the power of this bike. Totally 100% recommend it. Best purchase in a long time.
Glad you love it 👍🏻
A nice bike for a good price. And with 27kg less heavy that many of it´s competitors. If you can lift 27kg this bike will be a good choise, I need one with about 20kg weight.
Lovely bike review again, like the idea of numbers so you can remember where seat and handlebars need to be. Thank you 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Would you say that the handlebars are a decent width to maintain control on less than perfect surfaces? The bars on some folders look too narrow to me.
A good review John, thank you. Always good to see they list and sell spare or replacement batteries. It's a small concern that the bike will outlive the availability of replacement batteries. Also nice to have a european manufacturer - The wide tyres are a positive for the off roady bits but no doubt introduce some noise and drag on the roads for now I'll stick with my electric Brompton - not ideal for those tracks more of a city bike so this folder does appeal
The fat tyres on this are really quiet compared to others I’ve reviewed.
Hi John, My goodness I thought you were going to visit the moon you Sicily gave your bike 🚲 a good test All the best Lin
Thanks for a great review of what looks like a very well thought out folding bike John 👍
Add a 500W motor (as per proposed changes to UK eBike regs) and the Vester would be near perfect for me...
Once the law changes I’d imagine they’d offer a 500w version, but the 250w has plenty of power.
@@GadgetJohn Is there any rumours of the UK law changing on the 250w motor
Great Review John 👏 I like this one
Be safe
Morning John. Thanks for making such great e-bike review videos. We’ve been looking at getting two folding e-bikes for our campervan which we live in full-time. We are torn between the Hygge Vester and the Engwe EP-2/Engine models. Which would you rather choose and why? 😁 thanks
If you can wait a week there’s a video coming out that compares them all.
Same question from me. My husband has just ordered the Engwe but I’m thinking the Hygge is more my thing. Would love to see a comparison. Cheers Sarah
I'm still looking for a bike for my wife. This looks like a nice bike. Unfortunately, she's a short arse. She's shrinking. Apparently, she's now 4ft 11 inches as I've said before. It's a pity that you can't try before you buy.
As she rides mainly in the North Yorkshire forests, she needs a bike that is capable of getting here up some pretty steep hills.
Thanks for the review John. 👍👍👍
Take a look at the DYU model I recently reviewed with Mandy on it, that’s got decent power and it’s quite small.
@GadgetJohn I did watch that I'll watch it again and show her the bike
Yep, I like that one too, shame about the short
leg length though.
Another great review john. Cheers. 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦
Thanks 👍
Question: the battery looks like my yose battery. Any chance you can show us the back of the battery and the holder as it would be great if my one fitted.
P.s great video
My Danish mate pronounced it the same, so I think you're sorted 😂
I have the older model, by the way.
Good to know!
Hi John. Firstly, many thanks for great video. I’ve just had my Vesteer delivered and as you noted in video, handle bars need aligning bit I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do it 😢 I’ve no doubt got my stupid head on but can you advise please. Have looked at Hygge set up vids but they don’t seem to explain. Many thanks M
Sorry I’ve figured it out. Doh!
Hi can the throttle and speed governor be over-ridden for off road private land use?
No, the top speed isn’t something you can “unlock”
Hi just bought one. Where can I get the motor trigger from
What a brilliant Bike John love it. 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Have you tried the Hygge Virum? I’m torn because it’s much lighter. I’m new to cycling and want something that’s an all rounder but I like the idea of going on tracks so are the 4 inch tyres better / really necessary. Hmmm. Almost too much choice. Cheers Sarah
I've not yet tried the other model, I prefer this for the comfort on all terrains when I go and explore.
Hi john what kind of pump do i need for the tyres thanks
I cannot see the throttle option on their site?
Hi John. Off topic but where was the beach you and Mandy visited maybe 3 years ago where there was loads of abandoned fishing boats?
I've 'trawled' through your old vi8but can't seem to find it!
Cheers Neil
I’m not really sure 🤷🏼♂️
Well done great review good competitive price thank you👍👍👍🏴🏴🇬🇧🇨🇦🦢
Glad you enjoyed it
good review, thanks :)
Thanks for watching!
Hi all, 👋 I have a question if anyone can help. Is the throttle for hygge vester universal can I use most throttles. And what would be best thumb throttle. Or half twist/full twist. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you
The thumb throttle doesn’t seem to be universal on any e-bike I’ve tried, in my view a thumb throttle gives you a better use of handlebar space.
@GadgetJohn thank you and excellent review 👏
Nice bike, looks very much like the standard Chinese ebike. Is the Danish element the branding? What parts do they actually make in Denmark?
I don’t work for them, so that’s a good question to ask on their support page 👍🏻
I was told the only Chinese parts was the controller but I have seen other ebikes that look the same
hi john which slim do you put into the tyres ?? mark
I use this stuff, tried and tested. You can even put it into a punctured inner tube and it seals it up. amzn.to/3wlkn41
Nice bike , bit too heavy for me though.
It's not 'comfy' it's 'cosy'🇩🇰
For a lazy person, if you don’t really want to pedal much does it get you up a steep hill? Asking for a friend 😉
Weight is a factor I can get up a steep hill though if it's really steep I really need to pedal my arse even at max assist and low gears.
👍
👍🚐🚐😎
