So it appears it ONLY needs to be in a poluted zone the water pumps can harvest on land and its more effective for Acid. So any corrupt zone with stardust.

Benefit of being near water and a corrupted zone is you can do both, presumably oil too if its around. I've got pumps set on the polluted side (backpack numbers) and then pumps set up to get regular dirty water in a river. so my residence sits between zones.
@@ChromeHaw if you are in the area this video is based in maybe but the place im set up its only dirty or polluted water which is fine for me atm would like a crude pump going to as i have the super refinery plus the basic refinery, also the pumps can be placed on ground or in water anywhere on map and they will pull up dirty water so your base dose now need to be near water it pulls from the ground too

You don't have to put the pumps in water. In fact you shouldn't. If you put the pump in water you get dirty and polluted water. If you put the pump on the ground outside the water it only gives polluted water.

Also you aren't doing anything with the brewing barrel wrong. Some things like the brewing barrel, meat dryer and compost bit don't allow splitting stacks. It just automatically stacks the same type of mat till it's fill then starts putting them in the second slot. So you need to put in 99+ to get them to go into the second slot. There is actually a warning stating it will always stack items if they are the same that pops up for them the first few times.

Today i show you how to make a passive acid farm so make sure you do this early you won't regret it! Also i think there is a lot of other corruption zone types but they may be gated right now let me know below.
the best acid farm by far is the mushroom girl in settlements. She sells them unlimited for 2 of that material you get from the cargo scramble & highway persuit events. Sometimes i can get close to 1000 per event. You get 100 acid for 200 so you can usually come out with about 400 acid. but the event seems to be very random.

Osmosis purifier is the last 5th stage memetic, brewing barrel is 4th stage... Not 100% sure I would exactly call it Early, although I suspect it's the earliest guaranteed passive acid farm.
Also you do not need a body of water for the pump to work - I've managed to pump groundwater on top of a mesa. It helps to have a body of water if you wanna skip pumping dirty water and instead simply bucket it in - just afk for 5-10 minutes collecting water on a shore (or stairs going in the lake) and waddle over to the water tanks to dump the 5-10K of water in, same as you would with sea water for salt. A tank of water holds 3.2K units, in case you wonder.
Cannot do that with polluted water - need to pump it
Dunno if this is helpful but you dont actually need the pumps to be in the water to gather polluted water, you can have them going into the ground in a poluted area and it will still give you polluted water, if you have two pumps and have your base right on the edge of the corrupted zone you can farm both polluted and dirty water without being anywhere near a water source simply by placing one pump inside the corrupted zone and another outside
You can also reset an individual mimetic skill and it gives you different skills each time you reset

Thanks for the guide. I'm currently in phase 1 with 4 days to go untill phase 2. I just setup base in the same location you showed and put the pumps directly in the ground. Bit slower with the first purifier and I can't purify the acid yet but I should have heaps by the time phase 2 comes. Thanks again

for acid you need to go deeper in to poluted zone, and away from any water resource(lake, river, sea), so your pump only get polluted water. not dirty water or sea water. for optimal 100% efficiency u need 10 pump for the polluted water, 1 osmosis purifier for impure acid, and 2 barrel for the actual acid. and 1 pump, 1 osmosis purifier for pure water. so you want to put your base deep enough for your 10 pump to get only polluted water, and not so deep that you can still get dirty water or sea water. the output is over 500 acid daily (576 to be exact). this setup require 150w electricity. if u strugle with power cut the pump to 5 and leave 1 barrel to decrease it to 90w. u still get half the output

Yea lol it's 1 acid from barrel every 20min. Which is 72 acid every 24hours lol from one barrel. It has what.. 5 slots? So if all are full its still 72 times 5 which is 360🤣

@@iwjfhaifn2950 1 barrel has 4 slot. 4x3=12 per hour. You got two so 24. Times 24 equal 576. But you have to fill 1k impure acid to activate next slot in the barrel. It has 2 barrel, so it need 8k impure acid for its to runs 100% efficient. Which is for this setup u have to leave it for 34 hours to reach 8k. Then add that 8k into the barel

something worth a test I've seen other place pumps on the darker areas of the map even without water in that area and it still pumps water and impure acid so im assuming theirs a ground water table as such ? and thus as long as you are registering pollution on back pack and in a dark area of the map it should work, cant be that one small area considering the amount of players that will need this process so must be more spots to do so

You don't need water to pump up polluted water. Just put it in the ground
Didn’t realise you could see the corrupted areas on the map, spent many an hour running around trying to find a good spot prior so that was super helpful to know.
Any idea where you get that jacket, saw it once or twice but can’t find any info on it
The jacket is from seasonal crates you have a chance to get it randomly along with other items in the crates it's all a random chance
One thing I kinda do not understand - it takes 20minutes to create 1 Acid, so it makes basically around 25 acids during one sleep session - is it even worth the efford? You get 5 acids per zombie xD Or I'm doing something wrong?
yeah you need it to have 4 stacks of unpure acid to work its 4x faster adn it shouldnt be in the water either

I would hardly call the Osmosis Water Purifier a "noob" method to make acid. To build this you need Automatic Parts and Tungsten Ingots which are end game materials. Thanks for the info anyway.
I'm struggling to place my pipes, I have them unhidden but when I press V to place piping nothing happens? Ideas? They have wires connected

it looks like that can work with raincather too. I was wondering today why my plants had not enough water so I checked the small waterfilter and I found some of this pre-step acid inside.
now this blocked the one and only slot for water, so my sprinkler cant work anymore. Now I changed to Osmosis because it have 4 slots.
does it matter how severe the pollution is? or just the fact that it's ticking/showing % and being polluted in general?
Severety doesn't matter but if you put it on coeruptwd land apparently you get more acid too

When placing items into production machines the game auto stacks items of the same type. I have yet to find a way around this.

Brother can u tell me how to place them step by step cz when i connect thiere pipes it shows me reversed direction of water instead of going to the purifier
did you make sure it goes from high to low it just needs the next piece to be lower
In case you somehow still need to reverse the direction of water (pushing water uphill), there's a small water pump you could craft. Not recommended since it does use a little power, but in case you want to do some strange base setup.
