- Hey guys, Just a quick repost of The Blue Angels trailer coming to IMAX Theaters this May 17th. I know for me, falling in love with aviation started at an airshow and trust me, those aircraft were way, way older than the F/A-18E Super Hornets used by the US Navy Aerial Demonstration Team. Please give a thumbs 👍 up if you are going to see it and leave a comment about your first airshow experience.
Apologies for being absent from YT recently. A few months ago we at the Air Warfare Group received a "Punch In The Gut" when one of our members informed me of his terminal cancer diagnosis. Just to bring you up to date...he's still fighting, seeking all available care he can get. This individual is only 50 years old and has done some great things in military aviation as a fighter pilot. Personally, he and I have grown close over the past two years and I am thinking of him constantly. I hope he pulls through and lives to tell his story to you all someday.

DON'T LIE....How many people actually watched the video or trailer IN FULL without pausing, scrolling back a minimum of 100 times....or at least a few times? There are two types of people who will answer this...those who will be honest and those who...well...you know. Did anyone else also notice who produced this? J.J. Abrams. He and his brother were the masterminds behind the most relevant and under appreciated TV SERIES in history IMO, PERSON OF INTEREST. If you never have seen it...I highly recommend watching the entire series because when they were filming they had no idea their material would be as prophetic as it is. (Check out a few clips on RUclips to see what I am referring to). This is going to be EPIC. Thanks for sharing. Take Care
ps. The opening sequence was filmed not far from my humble abode. I recognize those sugar white beaches and turquoise water anywhere....Either Pensacola or LA (LOWER ALABAMA)...IMO, the most beautiful beaches in the world...Large/wide....during summers the sand is so white the glare will blind you....on overcast days when you think you are protected by clouds...you aren't...I learned the hard way during one of my College Spring Breaks...having blisters manifest on my shoulders and back was a life-lesson to never do that again...or do that while consuming so much alcohol my good friends left me....I looked eerily similar to Mr. Crabs...or a freshly prepared Maine Lobster...I was going to say this is Destin, FL but there aren't enough beach front resorts...So this must be Pensacola or LA... Lastly, I just noticed all the boats that are lined up off shore...at first I only saw the one boat & thought whoever was on that boat likely had a heart attack if they weren't expecting to be buzzed...but it appears to be a "marker" or point of reference for the pilots....Notice where most of the boats are anchored...very well could be only 4-5ft deep right there due to sandbars...where the solo boat is located the water is likely no deeper than 10-15ft....I will be in line to watch this on DAY ONE!!!

The cinematic photography could get some awards. Fabulous video moves left me stunned. JJ Abrams is awesome
Couldn't agree more! And I saw that Glenn Powell is a producer and he has been one of those actor/veteran appreciation member since top gun Maverick. He got to meet Thomas Hudner before he died, the guy he portrayed in the movie devotion.

worked in ops/intel so I was around the pilots quite a bit. The best of our best couldnt get in the Blue Angels. Amazing flight team O7

I'm just hoping I don't get air sick watching it at IMAX with the vertical theater. Those things are hard to climb.

😀 when I fly in the Sim pit, my wife can see the need for the Camelback per hydration, but she gets a little bit annoyed when I use the paddle pack 😉
