God Carried Me
I hung on to his neck as tight as l could
I didn’t even look up and l knew that l should
All my struggles,and fears started fading away
In the arms of my Heavenly Father as He carried me today.
He carried me through the valleys as l hung on real tight.
And He whispered it’s ok, you’re with me, you’ll be all right.
He carried me down the rough roads, the ones that l dread.
As He promised me “it gets better, l know what lies ahead.
He carried me up the mountain that l could not climb.
As He reasured me it would get easier every time.
He carried me through my trials stopping to wipe my tears.
And l relaxed, as l realized He had carried me for years.
He walked on as He carried me with patience,
and love.
My Father who takes care of me from heaven above.
