Asobo gets an A+++ for making a child character that I'd 100% protect with my virtual life, no questions asked. Hugo is so cute ;o; He's endearing, and retains an appropriate amount of childishness while also being changed by the horrors around him.
Facts. The Last of Us is the only other Game that I've physically spoken out loud in protest of things that happen to the characters. Amicia, Hugo, and Lucas are all so well developed in this game that I'd do virtually anything to protect them.
I finished this game about a week ago, and all I can say is that NO Game, Movie, Show, Anime, Manga, Any form of media has ever hit me as hard, emotionally, as this game did. I'm so glad to see you're playing it!! Hope you and Sean are both well!! Stay amazing!!

@@cephquepheas Yeah, it’s amazing. The game can honestly be a big metaphor to someone with terminal illness. You can only treat it, but eventually it will consume. Now I need some type of accessory or clothing item depicting the game. I always get something to show off one of my favorite games. Hopefully the show is amazing.
Gab for future reference when moving carts you don't have to pull them, you can push, and it's easier because they move in whichever direction you're facing.
I"m torn about this playthrough because I want to watch but also play it and don't want to be spoiled. Hugo's dilemma is heartbreaking to me especially during the 'dream' sequence. He's so young, going to through something that he can't fully understand and also feeling scared, helpless, and tired. I can only think of my sons in a similar situation and it hurts my heart.
When Hugo says, "This is your tower, it's evil," that was actually the actress that plays Amicia imitating Hugo's voice, they added it to the game because she sounded exactly like him!
I like that you can still see the scars from the Macula on Hugo's face, it's a small detail that I barely noticed but it's awesome that they took the time to include it
I LOVE that Amicia has some melee capability now! Its good to see that her fighting style evolved with the short time skip. Its so satisfying seeing her just whip people with the sling because they deserve it. I dont care if people were stealing your honey, murdering them and then being angry when your family gets murdered is hypocritical and vile.
The timing is so damn impeccable. I tested positive for COVID today. So I can nuzzle up in my bedroom watching a game play through about a plague 😂. Love you Gab and all the game walkthroughs you've done. ❤️
I'm a week late, but because of the gore and current bugs where you have to redo a whole level she decided not to play it! If the bugs get solved she might change her mind but I think she also thinks it's a bit too gross haha

Having already seen Christopher Odd's playthrough, I can now say you're in for a pretty bumpy emotional ride, Gabs. Considering how the their road will end, the beginning is eerily fitting...the game they are playing, it's almost poetic in a way. Have to agree with Odd that the voice acting and dialog was phenomenal. It definitely blows the first game out of the water.

This is something I wanted to tell you in the older game's playthrough as well: when the game says "RS: Look", it doesn't mean "move the right stick to look", it wants you to *push* it, to focus automatically on whatever they're talking about. I don't think you ever did that?
The beginning of this game, I am smiling from ear to ear because that hide-and-seek game looks so fun. The pleasant music in the background and the innocence is so cute. I also forgot that this game introduces mechanics in a sage environment and then theows you into a hostile one rather than just throwing the player in and having them overcome it

Im about halfway through the game myself, the gameplay is MILES ahead of the first game, its also quite frustrating at times. Patience is KEY with this game and its 1000% worth it for the story

It's funny you commented on the logistics of how he Alchemist can survive isolated surrounded by rats and murderous thugs out to get him. "HOW does he get food" indeed! Same thing I wondered about. Does he run that gauntlet of dead bodies and dangerous thugs every time he goes to market? Haha!
So the Order has been looking into the Macula for centuries and our Magistrate, who not a lot of people think is a Magistrate, invited Hugo to this town. Up front, it is a festival and the people are happy. Behind the scenes, people have the Bite and they are dying from the Plague. I think is going to be our Antagonist Group for this game because they have been studying it for centuries and found little data. Plus, if the town not infected like it appears at the festival, how they are doing their research? They have to be making sacrifices and bringing people in for experiments. When they die, they get cast into the Slums or on the outskirts to not raise suspicions.
What was the name of the organization the Pope was head of in the last game? Was it "The Order"? I don't think so because why would Hugo and his family trust someone who kidnapped and jailed Beatrice and hunted down Amicia, and wanted to apprentice Hugo for nefarious means?

It's funny you commented on the logistics of how he Alchemist can survive isolated surrounded by rats and murderous thugs out to get him. "HOW does he get food" indeed! Same thing I wondered about. Does he run that gauntlet of dead bodies and dangerous thugs every time he goes to market? Haha!

So the Order has been looking into the Macula for centuries and our Magistrate, who not a lot of people think is a Magistrate, invited Hugo to this town. Up front, it is a festival and the people are happy. Behind the scenes, people have the Bite and they are dying from the Plague.
I think is going to be our Antagonist Group for this game because they have been studying it for centuries and found little data. Plus, if the town not infected like it appears at the festival, how they are doing their research? They have to be making sacrifices and bringing people in for experiments. When they die, they get cast into the Slums or on the outskirts to not raise suspicions.
What was the name of the organization the Pope was head of in the last game? Was it "The Order"? I don't think so because why would Hugo and his family trust someone who kidnapped and jailed Beatrice and hunted down Amicia, and wanted to apprentice Hugo for nefarious means?
