Honestly, I would love a video on how to get started. My mom and I (a working 16 year old lol) have been struggling with money and making ends meet for the longest time. I really feel that something like this could help us save extra money to put towards bills, animal expenses, etc
LilyBear without intruding too much. You and your mom should sit down and make a budget, be harsh on yourselves and be realistic. Make things at home when you can, meal prep, cut unnecessary expenses. Then look at places like Ibotta and coupons.com and only buy things you need. Sometimes store brands are still cheaper even with a brand name coupon. Good luck!
There is tons of RUclips videos. Depending on the store type in Walgreens coupon deals and the videos will come up for the week. Dollar general, Walmart etc. Get the Sunday papers with coupons, print them online also.
It takes a lot of time to coupon. Acquiring, clipping, and organizing your coupons is just part of the process. Then you sit down and look at the sales ads and figure out a plan of attack. Which deals are worth it and has attaching coupons and configuring the cost and total. It literally takes me hours to figure out a shopping list but once it’s complete and you go to the store, even that takes time and planning, plus things can go wrong and you’re back to square one but you learn from trial and error and eventually it’ll all come together. But long story short it’s not an easy job, not a get rich quick scheme it’s hard but if you’re willing to put aside the time and energy for this go do it!!
@Strawberry Cream, Yes, when I first started I felt like that too...Now I politely tell them:... hey I might be a slight bit as Im price matching & using coupons or what not..honestly though I havent needed to say it in over a year now as Ive gotten really fast organizing my shop for cashiers & Ive learned when I can use self checkouts that benefit me! I used to have ppl thank me for letting them know, a manager putting a last customer sign on until done or had ppl so fascinated they stayed...Those who had to wait id also check their groceries for coupons I could give them or if I was getting extra FREE items Id give them some. They were so happy!
@@cecilyerker That's my first choice, too. I shop mainly there, Pick 'N Save (a supermarket now owned by Kroger), & Piggly Wiggly (ours does double coupon days Friday-Sunday). I occasionally shop Walgreens.
@Strawberry Cream Good couponers have it figured out before they get in line. I mostly do. I sometimes have a little problem deciding, but mostly coupons & money are out & ready to go before I get in line.
I'm a couponing virgin. I purchased 3 papers this past weekend only to find out from you, that there are no inserts in the Sunday paper when it's the weekend lol. I'm really looking to save on baby and household items. My daughter and myself have babies a month apart so I know this will help us tremendously. I'm watching you closely Katie. You are my couponing hero!!! Thank you for sharing all your best practices and everything else.
Can you make a video (whether here or tiktok) on couponing for makeup wipes, feminine products, and baby wipes please? I'm a college student and need all the help I can get 😭
When I was in college I lived in an apartment building and the mailman would always drop a big stack of coupon mailers by the shared mailboxes. I would take the whole stack! haha
I am in shock! I live in Europe and you never ever get something for free here, and not even for a dollar. If you are lucky it is 1+1 free, and the best bargain you can find is a 50% discount of the original price....
i really like your videos i’m personally a kid so i don’t have control over how my parents shop but you have inspired me to try this when i’m older because it seems very rewarding to look at your stock pile. keep up the great work
Nice stockpile! I love how organized you are. Mine is a mess as we have been renovating forever and my kids moved out, so I had to slow up my shopping/couponing. Then Covid hit and now my husband and I do all the shopping for his folks and I find stuff for our whole family that they can't find or afford right now. Being a smart shopper and a couponer is invaluable now especially! Stay healthy and safe!
Man I love this lady. True inspiration. Tbh, you could teach a couple of high school classes for seniors that are gona go into college. So this way they could save money on expenses.
I came across you on tiktok and came to see this video specifically. It is now 2020 corona time and people may say you're crazy but I say you're smart for doing this. You dont have to go to the store and fight over toilet paper, Kleenex, wipes, etc. You go girl!
My daughter coupon all the time. She does a lot of Dollar General digital coupons. She will ask me if she can go after school. She is better than I am. She even gets free stuff from time to time. You can do it watch videos, make a list, and have a plan before you get there honey and you will do great!
The toy stockpile is something I do as well that you never hear people talk about. I also get perfume/lotion sets after holidays for my teenage daughter and her friends.
College student here about to live on my own with roommates 👌🏼I LOVE these videos please keep it up! I have notifications on for your videos and I am from minnesota💕 I really want to learn to coupon well enough to have a smaller stockpile like yours💕 I can’t wait to learn from you👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Would love to see you to get started from the beginning where to get coupons where to get the best deal. Explain the apps and how it works things like that
RUclips have so many couponers. Join a Coupon group/ how to coupon at Walgreens. Start small with 2 favorite stores. Learn their coupon policies, where the items are located in your store. Walgreens (a store card) have a store coupon booklet. Learn the coupon lingo ( Google) You will need to start with 1 item. Tide/ Gain regular price $5.95, Sale $4.50, Coupon $2 off. A good deal but it maybe cheaper another day Sale $2.99 Coupon $2.00 off. The more you shop you will learn what is the best deal for you. Walgreens Toothpaste $3.50 sale $2.50 Coupon $2.00, store booklet .50 off.
Awesome stockpile! No need to explain to folks whether you’ll use it. It’s yours. You don’t have to donate any of it. You spent the time working up those deals. No guilt!
Just thought of a good idea for stockpile items - Christmas stocking stuffers. Every year, without fail, I (and every member of my family) get tooth paste, a tooth brush, and a bar of soap from my grandmother. Btw your stockpile storage is goals. I fell in love.
I literally subscribed as soon as I saw you have a harlequin great dane! lol I am obsessed with them! Anyway, Love your stockpile! I just started couponing a couple of months ago and I'm making progress on my stockpile!
I am already addicted to your videos!! Love them 💙 How did you get started? Online, rewards/points, clipping, ECT. I just dont know where to start. What is your advice for starting?
An easy way to keep a handle on expiration dates is to write them in a black marker on the front &/or top of containers. It makes it easy to see for everyone. Another tip is if you have clear air tight plastic boxes (get the good ones, because they're sturdier & will last longer not the cheap throw away kind) with straight sights (not tapering in at the bottom or top) & take out what you can (like granola bars, etc.) you'll fit more in the pantry/cupboard. We have a couple of baskets I keep with stuff in them. One has cookie packages that need to be eaten first. One I take out the sleeves of crackers from the boxes that need to be eaten first. We're older & it's easier for my mom who's 92 & doesn't see well anymore & for my brother who's turning 65 on May 14th. It helps a lot. It's also good for kids if you let them get their own stuff.
I coupon for 3 months after my surgery and as of now I still have many shampoo, conditioner, detergent, toothpaste, mouthwash, soap, body wash etc. And we been using them for three years now everything that you could use a coupon I use them. My husband starts complaining coz we don’t have no place to put them in our house. But happy that we don’t have to spent lots of money on it. I’ll probably go back on it next year. As long you got patience you’ll be able to do it. You need to load some apps like Ibotta I already made up to $1000 lifetime rewards I’m glad I found them in RUclips in 2016 so thanks to all RUclips people without you I probably waited for sales and still not savings money. I would recommend getting apps from Walgreens, cvs and check all the sales on mail they sent for groceries always looks in front and back of the flyer only. Sign in Flipp for any sales on meat and vegetables. I hope this help.
I love that you have a toy stockpile! I love to donate stuffed animals, books, puzzels etc. Lots of people donate to children's hospitals. But, they forget some kids end up in regular ones. And, women's shelters are huge for me. I stockpile Bed, Bath and Body works during semi-annual sales. My bathroom pantry is packed. But, birthdays etc. Happen. And my two boys are older. So, they use their men's stuff.
I do the clearance toys each year. I start on December 26th and just kind of gather throughout the year. My time birthdays and Easter and Christmas roll around again, I have a nice pile of goodies.
Back then people be so judgy about this stockpile video. Today we’re all taking notes 😂 others are rushing to the supermarkets to hoard at last minutes during lockdown
Wow I’ve never watched extreme couponing and now I’m wondering why I haven’t, and mostly why the hell I’m not doing it?????? This is super helpful and really fascinating keep the video coming please!!!!
New subscriber here. I am just amazed at the way you pull up those couponing😍😍. It takes a tad of patience and skills to do it. And i also love your pantry and stockroom. So neat and organized. 👍
I really liked how you walked us through your stockpile and let us know what prices we should be aiming for when couponing. One question (I’m new to your channel so sorry if I missed it), do you have a video of your method of couponing? Such as, do you buy inserts? If so, how many and for how much? Any other tips etc? Any bit of advice helps :)
Hello Coupon Katie, I love what you do! You're so clean, neat, pretty & smart! It makes a lot of sense what you're doing! I love saving & using coupons to! Another great video!
I think its important to note free could be due to an ibotta rebate. Register rewards or other means. Sometimes coupons and discouts bring it down but also ibotta and such make it free.
Last year the WHO said there could be a pandemic in January, so I started increasing my buffer-stock; a bit here, a bit there. Pasta, sauces, canned fish/meat, canned veg, potatoes, plain biscuits, cereals, long-life milk, bathroom bits, freezer bits, etc. All long shelf-life. When it got to panic buying, I stayed away from the masses, only buying fresh veg. I eat fresh as often as possible, supplementing it with stock-rotation items, before they get to their half-life. The supermarket queues are now down to 3/4 hour where I live, but I am self-isolated due to health issues.
Love it. You guys are so lucky in the states to have basements. Not the norm over here in the UK unless you live in a victorian house which yes, some do have them. Great space, I would definitely make good use of that space too, can't believe you get some things for free or even paid to take them you wouldnd believe how much we pay in the UK. For things like this. Shave gel, . £2, which is roughly 3-4)dollers 😱. It's crazy lol 😂 . I, m soooo jealous. 👍💙🏴🇬🇧
You make everything seem so simple and easy to follow! Once I do more shopping for myself, I’ll love to do this and use this as a guide. This is so helpful. Thank you.
I just wanted to say I am a new subscriber, and I am JEALOUS of your stockpile. I also have three large dogs who wrestle like that, so I’m almost certain they sound just as loud, or louder. And also a 10 year old little dog constantly telling them all to shut up. 😂 I used to be big into couponing and am trying to get back into it. Your video popped up in my recommended, and I’m so glad. I’ve been binging on your channel. I am usually very frugal and have a husband, cat, 4 dogs, and I’ve got two kids as well (my daughter is named Katie 😊), so I dream of owning a stockpile. I look forward to many more videos from you!!
I have bins and craftman shelves. I look at expiration dates and put soonest in front. I gave a few items in gift baskets. Omg a ton of toothpaste. I love prohealth..my husband Colgate. My favorite razor is skinmate. I love gain. I have a 11 13 and 20 year old. So laundry...yep. I do the birthday party stockpile too.
I Wish they did coupons in Australia. Or if we did I don't know where they would accept them. I usually just go to reject shops and grab stuff that's about to expire.
Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into these videos! I’ve followed you on tiktok since I first got the app and you inspired me! 2020 will be a year for saving money and couponing!
I hate how anyone on social media has to reiterate again and again that this is how they do things that this is their personal opinion that they feel like they have to explain things in their house and why things are certain ways, because people on the Internet are crazy, people come after these people that are only doing us a favor by either providing entertainment or saving us money like Katie is. It’s ridiculous how insane people are that she has to use disclaimers through half of her video.
I just started couponing but I can't get my items down that low. I need to definitely watch your videos. I need all the help I can get! I live in a small town in North Carolina. I think that's one of the reasons I have issues trying to coupon.
My favorite show on TLC is Extreme Couponing. I watch these people and say, I would love to be one on the show! I just started doing that because it was so interesting how they are able to have a high cost and with their coupons, able to widdle it down to just pennies! If I was on the show, my coupon name would be Bogo Beauty Queen. Because I won a local title in 1999 and I love getting things at stores if they are Bogos. SM
Actually many cleaning supplies & personal care items like deodorants, hair color, lotions, toothpaste etc. have expiration dates. It will break down like you said, but the chemicals used start to change & can be harmful. Major brands sometimes have codes of when a product was made & you can either go to their website or call the 800 number on the package to find out when it was made & how long you should keep it. I found an old box of Clairol Nice & Easy a couple of years ago (was in the back of a closet that we don't put stuff like that in ???) & they said technically they're good for up to 3 years, but recommend 2 years at most. They also told me a person should really use it within 18 months if possible. Sometimes it starts to burn & can cause severe problems. I opened it up & the smell was so strong. I ended up not using it. Yes it matters when you use something. Anything you put on or in your body needs to be taken seriously.
Whaaaatttt I live in Australia where everything is expensive asf. How can you get paid to take toothpaste from a store??? How the hell is all that stuff a dollar or less! How does couponing work?
Tiarnna Smith Companies use coupons to promote new products and get people to try them at a reduced price. The coupon is turned in by the store and the brand company reimburses the store for the purchase. Coupons are sold in weekly newspapers, so they help keep the physical newspaper industry alive.
I only use digital coupons because I’m honestly just too dumb to use paper coupons. I try my hardest but things just always go bad at the register when I do paper, and because I have so much anxiety, I’ve just given up. But I still feel like I get pretty good deals for things. Nothing is ever completely free, but it still feels good to walk out of a store with a ton of extra care bucks or only having paid $10 for bags full of stuff. You should try Dollar General, it’s my favorite place to coupon because their digitals are so easy.
You should join couponing at Walmart PMing lowest price too! Its a group on woman who spend hours in walmart searching for unmarked clearance. For example they found the 5 pack kraft mac and cheese for .98. If you look through them all some of them have a $1 off a 5 pack coupon making them free. Same with persil laundry pods. 40 count persil laundry pods are on unmarked clearance for $3 and there is a $3 off coupon making them free. Keep in mind not every store will have the same unmarked clearance. These are deals i found at my store. Happy hunting.
Everything Bella yes you can coupon from anywhere. You need Walgreens, CVS, Walmart. A printer. Put your mind to it and you will learn. I’m new and I have 16 shampoo and conditioners 13 toothpaste 11 laundry detergents and I’m in my third week.
it's really cool that you donate items to shelters. I had that thought too, wow how you can use that much, but yeah it makes sense to take it if it's free and then you can pay it forward!
Kirkland garbage bags are a great price a Costco and if you pay attention to Sears and Kmart deals and coupons you can buy things from the store at great prices then use the points you get back for the toilet paper.
one thing we can all agree on is that we want to be with her during the zombie apocalypse
Becca Sexton we need her now
hahaha me either
I think the time has come
You spoke this into existence, we now have Covid-19 apocalypse! Too bad I live in the UK, no flights or else I'll be right over with my two kids 🤣
@@ebymodebelu she has the toilet paper THE TOILET PAPER
And here I am paying full price for things, like an idiot.
abbey m , couponing is the way to go, trust me
abbey m you don’t have too lol. I love my freebies every week.
That's what I'm thinking too. I wanna be on her level!!!!
abbey m I coupon but not like this ! I’ve only saved about $550.00 this year. This girl is getting paid to take items out of store- AMAZING 😉
You and me both it's maddening , we don't get anything like these deals, in the 🇬🇧.
When she said 50¢ for a pack of baby wipes I almost screamed😂😂 I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO BE GOOD AT THIS
They have these sales alot. You gotta look for the sale cycle and pair coupons.. :)
Especially if u have a Kroger near u, they go on sale there for .99 cents pair with a coupon and u pay only 49 cents 😍👍🏿
I had 20 packs of 56 sheet Huggies wipes, got it for 50 cents each from Kroger. I don't even have a baby, I coupon for personal use & also to donate 🌟
ShemuYel DanyYEl Kroger is the shit I don’t shop nowhere else but Kroger
Yes please please a beginner video because i am a mom of 4 boys could use a stock pile of my own.
Who watching during the corona virus 😂
@Geeta Julien I was thinking the same thing. In my country its nothing like this in the shops when they are on sale or other times.
I have a stockpile but not as big as hers. I'm so glad I started couponing. I don't have ti worry about toilet paper or supplies👍
Yep. I feel like such a failure with my 3 month stockpile.

And Kermit is gone 🥺

I bet you could! She tries to spend no more than $200 a month to feed her family of 4! That is crazy awesome
Literally all of this stuff was probably $100 when someone who never used coupons could be over $2000
I am definitely looking forward to doing this!!
Shes surviving the purge yall
potato Negrete lol
During the purge she would probably go to all of the stores to get free stuff 😂😂😂😂😂
Lmao
The purge only last a day tho lol
She’s not worrying about the crazy people in stores right now, I bet!
I wish I had the patience to coupon like this.. especially using all the apps, I get so frustrated and then just give up.

I think only in the us such stuff exists. Discounts in other parts of the world works very differently and limited, its sad
That’s so true, England hates giving stuff in shops for free, the best discount I’ve had is 80% off
same here. Those baby wipes I buy one pack like 4 euros, its crazy
Exactly 😂 your best bet is buying off-brand stuff or going to discount stores 😂

I’m pretty sure the person means that they can’t coupon because they can’t drive, and their parents might be busy so it difficult to get around.
The toy stockpile is something I do as well that you never hear people talk about. I also get perfume/lotion sets after holidays for my teenage daughter and her friends.
This will come in so handy now during the coronavirus pandemic. You won't have to worry about anything!

Giving things to a women’s or homeless shelter is a great idea.
Your stockpile is one of my dream rooms, SOOOOOO much foooooooodd!!!! SODA, CANDY, and other healthy studff
Just wondering how much you spend on dog food and what kinds you buy.
Your dog would by crying. Give the dog some real meat, fish, eggs, dairy, produce and bones lol
Hello Coupon Katie, I love what you do! You're so clean, neat, pretty & smart! It makes a lot of sense what you're doing! I love saving & using coupons to! Another great video!
I think its important to note free could be due to an ibotta rebate. Register rewards or other means. Sometimes coupons and discouts bring it down but also ibotta and such make it free.
rewatching this now thinking about how this girl is SET for this whole corona virus thing
I came from tiktok, looking to be a stay at home mom by May 2020. Coupons will be a big part of that plan.
Awesome stockpile!! I’ve never paid for anything that comes to oral care my entire life either but only because my mom is a dentist lmao
You make everything seem so simple and easy to follow! Once I do more shopping for myself, I’ll love to do this and use this as a guide. This is so helpful. Thank you.
So good to see the colorox wipes and lyzol spray
I dont even have 1 couldn't find any bcos of this kiosk
Ok you gotta teach ya girl the couponing for the silky touch razors. They're cheap, but they're my fave 😂😍
Hey Coupon Kate, very goood, im just wondering, how long did it take you to acquire such a large stockpile?
everyone say the zombie apocalypse, but corona virus has a different idea
4:19 “we’re never planning on moving again” .....fast forward a year they are moving to florida😂😂
Whoops! 🤣
It's 3 am and I'm suddenly watching this 🤷🏻♀️
I just wanted to say I am a new subscriber, and I am JEALOUS of your stockpile. I also have three large dogs who wrestle like that, so I’m almost certain they sound just as loud, or louder. And also a 10 year old little dog constantly telling them all to shut up. 😂
I used to be big into couponing and am trying to get back into it.
Your stockpile is goals. I hope we can one day do this in the UK 😍😍😍
Oh my gosh I wish we were besties! 😍
*watches video*
*my thought*: if there’s ever a zombie apocalypse she’s got everything set for years.
Awesome stockpile! Your ready for whatever😀. Tfs
Love your eyeshadow! What kind and color please? Oh and thanks for the price breakdowns!
Oh my god you literally had a mini Supermarket in your house
Its amazing wow!
I am so thankful for this because my family is running low on money❤️
Hi, Kate thanks for showing u. I love being prepared for emergencies as well. Love the dogs. My husband's favorite breeds. I'm in Canada Ontario
Hi!!! I love the video. And your stock pile its awesome! New suscriber from Argentina here! 🙋♀️💗💗
Could you please make a video helping anyone get started? I really want to start couponing but have no idea where to start.
Can you please do a video on where you get all your coupons please? Also where all you shop at please?
Shiroyama Tokiyo Sunday newspapers, store apps and coupon.com
SM
I would love to coupon laundry and cleaning stuff, I work at an animal shelter and we always need that stuff.
I love Great Danes! They are the best family dogs every💖💜💖💜💖💜 great stock pile
(me watching this video) MOOOMM, CAN WE START COUPONING?
Whaaaatttt I live in Australia where everything is expensive asf. How can you get paid to take toothpaste from a store??? How the hell is all that stuff a dollar or less! How does couponing work?
Tiarnna Smith Companies use coupons to promote new products and get people to try them at a reduced price. The coupon is turned in by the store and the brand company reimburses the store for the purchase. Coupons are sold in weekly newspapers, so they help keep the physical newspaper industry alive.
Can you do a video on how to coupon and btw how do you get paid to take things
I only use digital coupons because I’m honestly just too dumb to use paper coupons. I try my hardest but things just always go bad at the register when I do paper, and because I have so much anxiety, I’ve just given up. But I still feel like I get pretty good deals for things. Nothing is ever completely free, but it still feels good to walk out of a store with a ton of extra care bucks or only having paid $10 for bags full of stuff. You should try Dollar General, it’s my favorite place to coupon because their digitals are so easy.
I'm from tiktok. I love watching videos like this. I'm slowly making a stock pile.
We’re not moving again on TikTok “ we’re moving to Florida”
Whoops! 🤭😂🤣
Im in love 😂 i just found you and ive been watching your videos all day. Your amazing!
Love your video and your stockpile. I totally had to subscribe. Looking forward to more videos. Take care.
You’ve got more items than my local Morrison’s 😂😂
OMG ITS LITTLE PET SHOP OLD VERSIONS IN UR TOY STOCK PILE!!! What state do you live in? I am in WA and idk if it’s a good cuponing state
Everything Bella yes you can coupon from anywhere.
