Been through two sets of "universal" screws trying to find a match for the ones in the headphones. Even the smallest Phillips (0 or 00) won't get any purchase. Am I i just buying cheap sets and need to shell out?

I believe the originals are a m2-2.5, the internal screw also has more ridged threads, I was using the stock ones a while back but after testing about multiple side during my design process I stripped the heads and replaced them from an amazon box set of various m 2-2.5 of various lengths

@dlb550 my personal set (which have been handed off to my rather heavy handed partner) have been going for a year now, though I needed a dab of superglue after about 6 months to keep them nice and secure- they are clip together on one end so repeated unclipping during assembly can make the tabs a little less tight, the part itself has remained in good condition though
