    Thank you so much. I am looking for a portable air compressor for travel with my teardrop trailer but also was looking for one that would be strong enough to winterize my RV Teardrop, you are the first video that I came across that mentions it can be use to winterize with the purchase of a optional winterizing kit. I appreciate how though you are and all details you mentioned. Thank you again you have been very helpful. ☺️

    Great job. I don't want to spend the extra money but I have a dually with a 30' TT and I know me, I will be kicking myself in the rear end for not getting the right tool for the job at hand. Plus, who knows what size RV I will have down the road. Thank you for such a great detailed review and comparison. Ordering my 400 from ya

    I bought the 400 a year ago. It works great with my 31’ class A. It has no problem pumping my tires up to 110 PSI. I have used it multiple times and have not had any issues.

    Viair incorp Ricky Tech 16:24
    "Pressure switch and accessories are what makes them different. A closed system is exactly like the compressor and tank in your garage. When it pressurizes, it shuts the compressor off. A normally open system once turned on, will just run and produce air until you physically shut it off. The 400P-RVS will shut off once the air hose is pressurized to 150 psi and will not turn on again until you press and hold the trigger on the tire inflation gun. Our portable compressors only come as you see them in the photos. There are no options to get them without accessories."

    Thanks for the very detailed comparison of the two units. I was never really certain as to which model I should purchase. I have a 30’ TT and the 300 would suffice but I really like the additional accessories for the 400 especially the winterization aspect. This would eliminate the need of an additional compressor/equipment to perform the winterization. For me it will be the 400. Thanks again so much for the education!

    Eric, when we purchased our 400P nearly four years ago, the 450P was not yet available, and the 400P was recommended for use on class A motorhomes. I know the 400P has a 20 minute continuous operation limitation at 100 psi and the 450P is 40, but I don't think at this point we'll can the 400P and purchase the 450P. The 400P works for us on our Tiffin Allegro RED.

    • @Technorv
      @Technorv  3 года назад +2

      The 400 is great and is capable of airing up big Class A tires. You are right, the difference is the cycle time, and this would not come into play much unless you were putting a lot of air in all of your tires at one time. If I were you I would hang on to the 400. I hope this helps. Eric

    Is the difference only about accessories?

    • @Technorv
      @Technorv  5 месяцев назад

      The main difference is the Duty cycle for these models. Meaning it is able to run longer with out needing to take a break. The Viair 400 and Viair 450 have the same duty cycle but additional accessories that are better for bigger rigs.

    Great video Eric, can I purchase the 45 degree chuck for the 300 RVS?

    • @Technorv
      @Technorv  3 года назад +1

      Unfortunately, they do not sell a separate chuck that is compatible with the 89 or 300.

    Thank you for a great video!
    It looks like the 400 has a quick release on the hose to use the different accessories, where as the 300 has a fixed chuck, Ya?
    Also, is the hose on the 400 2 lengths of 30', or 1 length of 60'?
    Thanks, Erik

    Great comparison. Lots of good information. One question. Is there any difference between the previous models, Viair 400-47 400P-RV and the new ones?

    • @Technorv
      @Technorv  3 года назад +1

      Hey Pamela, TechnoRV only sells the newest model which ends in RVS, not RV. Ours are the newest inflators and there are some other differences like the included 40 inch extended chuck in the 400 and 450 models. The carrying bag is upgraded and a few other bits and pieces. You wont find the new models on marketplaces like Amazon, but again, the newest model is all we sell. Hope this helps. Eric

    Why won't the 300RVS work with the winterization kit? Is it a connector problem?. I did see one user winterize his RV with a 300 but it may have been an older version - not the RVS.

    Very informative video. Thank you. Is there a difference between the 300P and the 300P-RVS?? I want to use my unit for the truck and travel trailer and also going to use it with my Jeep Wrangler for airing up after off road driving. Thank you.

    • @Technorv
      @Technorv  2 года назад

      There are differences, yes. The RVS model is the upgraded unit and has a couple of updates plus a much better storage bag.

  • @Gary-ib8dz
    @Gary-ib8dz 3 года назад

    I think I want either the 400 or the 450. I have a travel trailer that is 29 feet long. I would also use it for airing my tires back up after airing down for off roading. I would be going down to about 15 sometimes and back up to 46. From what I understand, the 400 airs up tires faster but the 450 has a longer duty cycle so it can run longer without a break. Which do you recommended?

    • @Technorv
      @Technorv  3 года назад +1

      Hey Gary, You could easily use the 400 for that set up. You would not outlast the duty cycle on those tires unless they were all flat, and then it likely still would not be an issue. I hope this helps. Eric

      Hi, it was just a indication of the next model number. The RVS is the most current model while the "RV" model is not the newest.
