Nice! Best sounding vid I’ve seen yet for the CS 54. Great player, great guitar and wonderful amp.

Ha finally got my 2021 R4 today it’s fantastic. If I could afford the real thing I’d buy a 54 over a 59 as I love the neck size, wraparound bridge and of course the P90s. Had a 2020 R8 and I’ll tell you the neck is supposed to be the same but it’s not. My 54 neck is definitely fatter and is lighter than my R8. I know the 59s (real ones of course) are the holy grail but I’d still take a 54.

@@Richard_Lush I've got an R7 & R9, and I'm GASing for an R4. If I could afford the real things, I think I'd stick with the 'Rx's and leave the money at the bank, rather than some old guitars. I'm not going to sound any better, or play any better with the real ones.

My R4 is an "07. Baseball bat neck. Fat butt like a bumper on a '57 Chevy. Always in tune with da kine tone with either a 5e3 tweed deluxe or a jmp 2204.

Is intonation problematic without an adjustable bridge? Sounds amazing!

They can be. Mojoaxe makes a great bridge that really helps with intonation and hard to tell that’s is compensated. I replace all wraparound bridges with these. You can get em aged too
