We appreciate the content, thank you for all the hrs of hard work that went into the build. Am I a bad person for secretly hoping for a zpoc after seeing this and wanting to use this bone machete 😅 The only i can this of to make these videos more mass appealing is to have a few swipes at a ballistic bust, we get it's not cost effective, but your work is flawless and i can't be the only one dying to see some slowmo fake blood spilled Thanks guys
For those of you out there who apparently don’t know: *5160 IS NOT A STAINLESS STEEL- AND EVEN IF IT’S BEEN BLUED OR ACID FINISHED, IT IS OF GREAT BENEFIT TO THE MATERIAL TO KEEP IT OILED.* That is all. I shall step off of the soapbox that I had specially delivered to this comment section now.
Nice restoration, one question though, after etching or something like that, there was a wash of whole piece, so how are you certain after that it will not rust underneath handles again?
Absolutely love these behind the scene vids. Really makes me appreciate the craftsmanship and badassery 💯Also the music is fire in this vid. What's the track at 18 minutes?
Excellent! Watching you guys clean up that beautiful blade made certain parts tingle. I’m thinking you should make it a regular part of the channel. And the aggravation was at peak levels for me. It’s hard for me to even imagine someone actually being responsible for such desecration involving a ZT weapon. In a sane world, he’d be hunted down as a negligent blade owner who’s purchase history should be delved into and Wanted posters made up. I’m damn near to tears as I consider the horrible abuse that must have started immediately after leaving the shop. The casual and disrespectful carelessness dazzles my mind. Given the privilege of actually owning a ZT, you’d think that his life’s perspective would fundamentally change for the better. Obviously, this man is somewhat less than human. Would it be too much to ask that just before you DOX this horrible *person*, you might call me so that I can be first on scene to shout and shame this morally destitute wretch and show the Western Civilization what a true monster looks like.
How did this comment only have two likes? Whoever the owner is, let's *take him out back and be@t the sh!t out of him! 😀 *this is a joke, and I don't actually condone any forms of vigilantism
Thank you a lot for that I don't know if you are familiar with the "Wyrmlyfe" Show from the "wyrmwood' channel But it would be amazing if we could get a something like that from you Anyway Hope you're doing good See you !
Not usually a fan of tacticool zombie swords but this is actually well made. Full tang constraction and overall looks tough. I would grind off the spike from the handle guard tho. No reason for a sharp spike pointing towards me when i swing a sword around😅
Do you guys think you'll ever bring back the xiphos scout? Cuz that was one i had my eye on and would pay money for. Also, just a possible suggestion, have you guys thought about possibly making a viking seax type knife?
The hardest part about buying anything from zt. Is being paralyzed from making a decision. Everything is cool. Im leaning towards the Spit, but the reaver cleaver is sweet too. And now I see you have a machete, well shit! And when I finally make a decision, I get the feeling you're going to offer a viking sword. Shit you have kukris tooo.
@@zombietoolshey guys winter is gonna be over by the time I get my sword made if I ordered it now. I been waiting for an update on cross guards but can you just like tell me if you gonna do it or not. Like I needed my sword for this trip/cutting wood and idk man I been waiting like 3 months and if you arent gonna add guards ill just buy the sword(xiphos/diphos leaf blade double edged sword) and find a welder to add the guard. I dont mean to be a d!ck but this isnt a toy for me or a cool item like I literally wanted it for my son and I but I cant have him fuark up his hands. I personally have had tendons reattached in my dominant hand and its no fun. I got like a crab claw fingers. Appreciate yall just try and get back to me.
Loving it. Glad to see new life breathed into a life saving tool. A little love an oil saves. And I love my Legionnaire that is in mostly pristine shape.... except for the normal use scrapes and perhaps old blood (accidentally mine and my buddy who cut himself in the same exact way - no we aren't retarded). Love the modern ancient Roman esthetic.
I can answer that for you as this is my blade, we were cutting some wood, we were done for the night, I told my buddy to bring in the machete, he forgot. It snowed the next day, I should have double checked to see he brought it in, it was my fault.
The spike like guard not suitable for zombie apocalypse weapons cause someone can accidentally got injured by that spike then he's vulnerable to viruses!!!
Anyone notice a cool guy wearing a Doom's T-shirt ? The most thing that got my attention.
I appreciate this vid. It's nice to see how all the handle construction is actually done. These things really are built to last
Brought back from the Bone Yard!
Resurrection would've been a good title word for this video.
😮😮😮dude, amazing work! Wow! I can really appreciate this video, had my attention from start to finish! Nicely done!
Thank you much!
You guys are amazing..
Thank you...and you rock!
More of this please. I could watch this type of content all day.
I mirror polished my deuce 2 check it out
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful piece! Baffles me that someone would leave that outside for years.
Thank you.
If the actual apocalypse happens and/or someone lost it I can get how it might end up this way but besides that that is just neglect!
Like any superhero, Zombie Tools have their weakness: severe neglect.
Super Baby's weakness is severe neglect....
Loved watching this!

I always wondered how you guys set the handle pins! Thats a great technique!
Why wouldnt you drill out te handle pins and try to salvage the scales? Curious, not criticizing
Bring that bone machete back!
Awesome, as always
Well I learnt some more ZT stuff, props to the workmanship! Seems you got a gd crew now days!
Thank you. This crew is a well oiled machine.
amazing craftsmanship!
Thank you!
Sickest beats I've heard on a blacksmithing video in a long time. Ever counts as a long time, right?
New follower here. Love your work, brother! Keep it up!
Thank you much!
Are those aluminum scales on a steel blade? And if so, how do you prevent galvanic corrosion?
We haven't had a problem, even with our lades that are 15 years old. If they are maintained...
Looks brand new awesome job, as much care as if it was a new tool.
Machete be lookin' hella dope!
Thank you.
So that's how you guys do the ferric oxide finish. Neat little process.
Przepiękna jest zrobiona ta robota pozdrawiam twórcę tego filmiku serdecznie 👍👍👍👍👍

Shutup
I would have used a drill press and punch to remove the handles... but whatever.
I love y'all's blades, I'm too poor for them these days but they're awesome.
Thank you.
Nice restoration, one question though, after etching or something like that, there was a wash of whole piece, so how are you certain after that it will not rust underneath handles again?
I’m betting the oven takes care of any moisture under the scales

Thank you. The Song is called Wasteland by Deimos.
@@zombietools I appreciate it. Looking forward to my new Hellion. My beloved Apokatana made me come back for more :) Keep kicking ass!
What is this green liquid at 15:30 and whats the powder at 16:30?
Ferric Chloric Acid and Aluminum dust.
@@zombietools Thanks❤
Great job👍👍
Thanks 👍

Damn!! How many zombies did that thing kill..😂. Good job
Great restoration. I would like to know the names of the songs being played, especially the first one, that beat is crazy!
I cant track down the name, but I can tell you I get the tracks from the adobe stock.

You can buy a new one at zombie tools. Only been out a couple of years.
While it’s not my taste, I certainly appreciate the high level of craftsmanship and respect for customers investment.
Thank you.
What did that person do cut their way out of a shoggoth awesome work
...without an oily rag.

Dynabrade Dynafile - handheld belt sander.

Do they extend guards? I want the Diphos but only if the guard was a cross guard. The way they make it, it has no protection
Stay tuned for cross guards.
@@zombietools sweet I been asking for months and just don't want to end up buying the wrong sword. I have the Apokatana though, excellent work

How did that thing get so rusty
Not sure. Customer sent it to us as-is for restoration. I'll try to get an answer to that. I too am curious.

Cool.
I love the restoration the music is to much would rather just hear the music made from the tools
We go back and forth on weather to have music or not. We'll probably do the next one without music...but balancing shop noises can be difficult.
Wow awesome like you lot zombie tools lol
Thank you.
Want it.
I'm going to go oil my Spit right now.
😆
why is that thing so rusted?
It was left outside in the snow for some time.
