I can't believe how much I enjoyed Enterprise when I watched it on Netflix. Just a near-perfect old-school sci-fi adventure show and I'm bitter that it didn't get a full 7 seasons.
Always liked it (except for the theme for the first two years) and thought it never got the credit it deseved. Compared to much of the new stuff, its a friggin masterpiece.
It got so much hate from a lot of Star Trek fans... unwarranted in my opinion, I bought the whole series way back, when that was actually a thing. If those fans only knew, how bad Trek could actually get... I'm looking at you Discovery.
ST: Enterprise was cancelled because the executive at CBS hated science fiction and Star Trek in particular and mothballed it so to use the funding to start the CW network and go after low-cost “chick shows”. The CW never made a profit in its whole existence.
Love how the port reconfiguring itself to fit the saucer section is like a venus fly trap. The clinical, unsympathetic creepiness of the station was fantastic. One of the better episodes!
once the xindi storyline was done they took too long to get to the romulan war and that killed ratings and interest. don't get me wrong, the vulcan stuff was great, but that stuff with terra prime or whatever was such a boring story it feels like that's the point enterprise just... died. that's just my subjective opinion on it. if they'd jumped over terra prime and went for "our main dilithium source was just hit by a romulan warbird going warp 7" which both reveals that the romulans had become a significant, competitive threat and starts the war, things would have been very different for this series.
@@krane15 Compared to Discovery, Lower Decks, and Strange New Worlds, Enterprise is practically Shakespeare. Now when compared to the golden era shows like TNG, DS9, it is admittedly weaker. It is an all-around good show.

I have just finished the series about Star Trek behind the scenes called The Centre Seat and the design of the NX 01 interior was based on a American Navy Submarine, as it is slightly cramped, but everything is built for a purpose and has its place and it not made for luxury
The extreme internal environmental conditions when they arrive could just be the station in a kind of hibernation/ standby state. Not necessarily a species visited with those requirements.
