i have one of these. i love it so much, but the only downside is that it's a bit hard to park sometimes. but i love how big it is, it's good interior, quick, and good for off-roading.
In my opinion the triton v8 5.4 was the most reliable engine besides the 4.9l inline 6 that was used in the older ford trucks and broncos. Although the 3.5 l eco boost v6 would be nice for fuel economy I would prefer to have the 5.0 v8
TheSadZebra generations can be significantly different from each other in terms of dependability. Just go to carcomplaints and search for any particular model. You will be surprised
I love my Expedition I love it better then the new one it's bigger and i love the bold look to it my Escalade 2016 Escalade was was just to sensitive check engine light at 6789 miles I got my 2017 expedition and put 67137 so far with no problems. It is the limited black on black and is 4x2 it is excellent on and off road and in snow pick this any day over Escalde
The 5.0 V8 was equal in MPG to the 3.5 Turbo, this based on a Car & Driver test of two F-150's, 5.0 vs 3.5 Turbo. When towing the V8 was 1 mpg better than the Turbo. Even if there is a slight loss of mileage, a lot would choose the V8. Another thing, these are based on trucks, there should be some models with smaller wheels and higher profile tires. My family has owned two Explorers, both with the 5.4 V8 and normal sized wheels and tires, and they drove nice and didn't have much road noise. The cloth seats were a more soft classy velour, unlike the slick cheap cloth seats in the new ones.
Ford, make sure to keep this on a truck platform...but the rest..requires a huge update interior and exterior. The frame and drivetrain is perfect, the exterior design and complete interior needs a revolution. I am a new F150 owner but this offer could never pull me out of my pick up
@@daviscarver6492 wow, after reading this comment I had to go outside and try it. Thanks as I never knew that. I was like how does this truck have keyless entry with no button to push to unlock it. I was literally pulling the fob out if my pocket to unlock it. Just learned something new today after owning this truck for a whole year smh 😒
Horses and Ford I had the same doubt but it is a V6 with twin turbo so it has the same power as the V8 but they must change the exhaust it is very ugly and have like 17 inch tires this suv will look the best better then the suburban
I know it has the same power so it has that going for it. It's more than the power for me though. Its the sound, the ruggedness and feeling of a V8. The roar you hear that proves it has guts when you are getting up to highway speed. The V8 was a symbol of awesome, manliness, and power. (my opinion). The whirling of turbos isn't something that makes me smile. V8's really really put a grin on my face. I hope it at least has the 5.0L V8 option. Like the different body styles, there is an engine category for me. V6s in the Explorer and smaller and V8s in the SUVs/trucks. I don't like this V6 thing they are in. It shouldn't have a place in the big vehicle line up. It would be great if the 4 cylinder would stay in the small compacts such as the Fiesta and Focus. The Fusion should have the V6. The Taurus too if they decide to keep it. I am more into the 20-22 inch wheels. Anything more is too big and gaudy. anything smaller doesn't seem big enough for an SUV. (my opinion again) I quite like the exhaust. I wished the Expedition had it before the 2015s came out like the Navigator had.
Horses and Ford I know what you mean. I love the sound of the 5L in the F series. Right now I have a rental identical to the one this guy is driving while my car is in the body shop and I can say, the torque is amazing. I miss the V8 sound, but not the sluggish feel and having to gas it too much off the line, the TT V6 makes it right at home, but if they ever do a TT V8, I'll put myself on the waiting list and even pay sticker lol.
Ford, please do not get rid of this! My family loves these things and gets them all the time.

351w ftw
If it isn't broke, don't fix it. This car is ultra reliable. The only thing i'be ever had to replace on an expedition is the front power window motor.
how do you know it's reliable if this truck has been out for less than a year?
Protoss Zerg because that generation of the truck has been out for years lol
What about the V6TT engine?

1:09 I do that with the windows too LOL. Heck I still do it 99x even if I already know I did it 99x already

I meant Expedition's, but the computer wouldn't let me edit it.
If the Expedition was available in a V8 I'd buy one tomorrow
Susan Vue it is
UA Production no it's not anymore
Susan Vue 2014 does I think
I had the v8 escalde and suburban I prefer 3.5 eco boost it moves just as good and I not at the gas station as often
It's not a v8 anymore @@usmanatif5922
They should bring back the 5.0L V8 in the Ford Explorer as well
Not anymore MS88
Uriel Hernandez unfortunately
Love that car!
Great video your explanation is perfect,
Absolutely perfect video on this suv vary informative
Enjoyed the trip on the Western A back roads. It may be older technology but the Expedition is a very nice vehicle.
How the acceleration and quickness compared to your 5.0 V8 F150? Anyone else can answer too.

Do you prefer 3rd or 4th generation shape?
What about the Lincoln Navigator?
2017 / or 2014 Interior. ? I seen 2017 f-150 interior looks newer than this. ?
Hi is the expedition off road advisable
Does this suppose to have keyless entry via a sensor on the door handles? If so, it does not work on my 2017 Limited.
Stanger182 it does you have to walk up to it with the key in your pocket and press any of the buttons except for the two lock buttons on the keypad

Iam waiting on 2.7 Expedition to come out 😊
There sure is a lot of rocking left & right on the video. Not sure if I'd be confident with all that wallowing.
You should re name your channel auto ford
I really really really hope the 2018 Expedition gets the V8... if it doesn't, I'll be switching to a Suburban/Tahoe fan.
