Quick update on the pond because it filled up and the dock is done. I finally finished building the dock. Lost the footage of building the dock. Also made a new intro for the channel.
It is important to keep the lake clean. Clean the bottom near the pier. This can be done with a dirty water motor pump and a Bagermaster suction nozzle.
the walkway is 4' wide. I will have to measure how long it is when it stops raining. Total cost was about $900 I think. One day I will recover the build video off of the corrupt SD card.
I waited for the water to get super low. For the ones at the end of the dock I dug down about a foot or two to the grey shale then set the post on that. I drilled some rebar into the shale and some lag bolts into the post then build a form about a foot up and surround the base of the post in concrete to try and lock it in place with the rebar and bolts. the other two I augured a hole down to the shale and just set them on the shale and backfilled. The beginning of the sidewalk is anchored in the ground with two t-posts on the inside of the frame.

Looks great and is clever! Your project has inspired me. I presume you have plastic barrels under the dock.
No, there are 4 posts that are dug down to the rock and concreted in. I almost did the floating dock.
What are the measurements of walkway and what was total lumber cost?

How did you drive the timbers?

Great looking dock. Useless video.
Thanks. Ya this video was just to show it. I filmed the build but the SD card went corrupt.
