I've put hundreds of hours into JWE1 and have put a about 7 so far into the sequel, and I can say without a doubt Frontier Studios has definitely improved on the first game.
The Return to Jurassic Park DLC is basically Hammond hires you to try and salvage/restart the park and make it work.
Glad the second one is improved! 😀 sequels can go either way 🤗

The music of this game is so nice and serene. This is a delightfully meditative game for when you just want to chill. 10/10 Golblums.

Yeah in Sandbox. In any other mode it's a logistical nightmare.
Jurassic World Evolution is definitely more of a serene park building game. While Dinos can break out and cause havoc to your guests, if you're building the pens right and taking their needs into account this is more rare. So there isn't tons of action, most common things you can do 'action wise' is fly the Helicopter and tranq the dinosaurs yourself and drive the ranger jeep to restock feeders, take pictures of dinos and apply medicine to them.
Though you can pit dinosaurs in cage matches against each other by putting them in the same pens, since they don't all get along happily with each other.
We wouldn’t be down with cage matches 😂 bummer it’s not our style of play but that’s okay. 🤗
If a dinosaur giving me a hard time i just trow them into my raptor pen 😂😂

the first one is pretty amazing. i love that u can get pretty close and see the dinos move around and interact. its very realitic. another dino game u might be interrested in is "the isle" and "ark: survial evolved"
Ark survival has been on our list for a bit. We may need to see some more gameplay from this JP game to get us hooked though 🤔🤗

There's a really good tell tale game that actually takes place during the original where one of the characters you play is the ranger guy that was helping the sick triceratops.

Just a little nugget of hilarity for you both. For Halloween this year, my 3yo asked to, 'be scared'. He loves T-rexes, so I figured, I would teat out That infamous scene from the original Jurassic Park.
Kid was giggling through the whole scene.

This is a Park building game series, like Sim City. Never played them, but I've seen gameplay. You can definitely cause your own Dino Breakouts and watch them tear through the crowd. Some people will literally air drop a raptor into the middle of a crowd. There is a VR Jurassic Park game though. Jurassic World Aftermath VR. Never played it cause most VR games of its type are very short, but still cost over 30 dollars, but the reviews are very good. Seems it's a Quest exclusive, so you would have to buy a Quest or Quest 2 headset.
Resident Evil 4 was remade for the Quest 2 as an exclusive. It's an absolute masterpiece in VR. Just thought I'd add that bit.
Can confirm that Aftermath is good,but also a frightening experinece.
Hmm. Just looking at the thumbnails for JW aftermath it seems but cartoonish. But a VR Jurassic Park game would still be cool 🤩
Man, Jurassic Park is another of those things that just DEFINED my childhood lol. I think I was 6 or 7 when the original movie came out and I was just ENCHANTED by it. I was THAT kid who'd run around my elementary school just obsessing over dinosaurs and jabbering about them at length to anyone who'd listen (I'm sure with my history of long RUclips comments you have no difficulty believing I can yammer on about something for a long time lol!). I was CONVINCED I wanted to be a paleontologist when I grew up lol.
The great irony is that my fiancée HATES Jurassic Park lol! For her it's a "childhood trauma" sort of thing, where it scared the crap out of her as a little kid and she just never got over the stigma lol. I don't know how the girl of my dreams and love of my life ended up being someone who hates dinosaurs, but that's just how it turned out lol.
I've looked into the first Jurassic World: Evolution game a bit, and it's very much a SimCity or Roller Coaster Tycoon -type game set in the Jurassic Park theme. Top-down, build up your park and suit the needs of your business/customers/animals, and try to rapidly respond to the things that go wrong to keep your "visitor consumption rate" down enough so it doesn't impact your bottom line too much lol. Definitely misses out on the adventure aspect of the franchise, but for what it is Jurassic World: Evolution is a pretty dang solid game as far as I can tell.
That sequel looks BEAUTIFUL but I can't help shaking my head at it lol. WHOSE IDEA WAS IT to build the next park somewhere in the continental USA?!? That looks like maybe northern Arizona or Colorado/Utah...not the most HEAVILY populated areas of the country but still far from abandoned lol. Stuff ALWAYS goes wrong lol, and I don't see any massive 50 foot walls of 12-foot-thick reinforced concrete/steel in between the park and those beautiful mountains lol. I can suspend my disbelief a bit when it comes to remote tropical islands...but I can't BEGIN to imagine how they justify this new park's existence or how it was EVER allowed to happen lolol. Looks like it'd be a fun game, though lol.
That’s how you know it’s real love. When there are things that you not only don’t share in common but are in fact complete opposites in opinion and sentiment. And you’re willing to look past that 🙃 However, I advise getting her drunk and watching the movie again 😂 She has to get over it 🥳😁
They didn’t build a park in the USA. There are dinosaurs there because at the end of the last movie dinosaurs were shipped there to be auctioned off and they obviously broke out so dinosaurs are living in the wild

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames I'd absolutely do that, but she can't really drink lol. She has epilepsy, and any alcohol beyond a sip or two doesn't play well with her medication lol. We'll split a daquiri every now and then, but not much beyond that lol.
I DO have to get her sat down in front of some quality TV entertainment though lol. She has the same kind of dismissive attitude towards Star Wars, lol...which I wouldn't say I'm as diehard a fan of Star Wars as I am Jurassic Park, but c'mon man it's Star Wars! I bet I could trick her into loosening up on her stance if I got her to watch The Mandalorian though, Baby Yoda is too freaking cute to hate lol.
We are who we are, and like what we like. Fortunately we have enough common interests that we don't lack for stuff to enjoy together, and it's not a BAD thing to have some stuff that's respectively our own. :)

Yes, this is what this is about. You build your own park with dinosaurs and control everything. By the way, there is also a Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis that is a waay older than these two games here. It was released back in 2003 and, it is basically the same game. You build your own park, make your own dinosaurs and control everything. I don't know if you can play as dinosaurs, cause i never played these games, cause i like action games, but you can try it out.

In Jurassic World Evolution 2 they have chaos theory which is basically a what if scenario from all 5 movies the Return to Jurassic Park campaign in Jurassic World Evolution let's you go back to Jurassic Park to rebuild it after the closing of the park then let's you build it then let's you open it to the public once you've completed the objectives

If you want to play one of these play the 2nd one. There's a campain, a challange mode, a sandbox mode and the chaos theory mode which is a mode were you can play a what if scenario with all the Jurassic Park/World movies, for example the Jurassic Park what if scenario is what if the park wasn't sabotaged and for Jurassic Park 2 it's what if we were able to build Jurassic Park: San Diego

In the sequel there’s mission based on all of the Jurassic Park movies. You create the original Jurassic Park with Hammond, open Jurassic Park San Diego, as well as opening Jurassic World. 5 different mini campaigns based on all 5 movies. The actually campaign of the game is actually really short as they couldn’t yet release any spoilers for the new movies coming out which is difficult when your camping basically just is the movie story but from a different character’s perspective
Btw the game you’re looking for is Jurassic World Aftermath. It’s a VR game about being stuck in Jurassic World after the park collapsed

Dinosaurs!!! And yeah, it's a park building sim. Think Rollercoaster Tycoon or, yes, Sim City, but Jurassic Park! Fun fact: there was, oddly enough, a Jurassic Park based fighting game on the PS1 called Warpath:Jurassic Park, where you played and fought as different dinosaurs. What was fun was a human or animal would occasionally run into the area and eating it restored a little of your health. Another old PS1 era franchise that might interest you guys is Dino Crisis, which was basically Jurassic Park meets Resident Evil, or, to put it another way, Resident Evil with dinosaurs instead of zombies. Cheers!

I loved dinosaurs as a kid and the reason was the movie ''Jurassic Park'' and the dinobots from the original Transformers cartoon. It's safe to say that a part of my love for them has survived to this day.

i played part 1 and 2, its fun, especially part 2 with all new features and like sea dinosaurs and alot more different dinosaurs in part 2. if you like tycoon games, this game is one of the best games also if your a fan of the jurassic park jurassic world franchise you would just like it anyways.
We wouldn’t want to shoot our dinosaurs though if they broke out and ate people 😢🤗
I'm really a big Jurassic park fan they should make a new game where you play as a hunter in first person tracking the man eating dinosaurs.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Apart from the fact that in Fallout 4 you have to find your son, a killer, a survivor of post-war Boston, full of radioactive weather, enemies of various kinds (Supermutants, ghouls, raiders, gunners, androids, forced animals) you can join certain factions (Railroads, Brotherhood of Steel or Minutemen or the Institute) and rule with it the Commonwealth (post-war Boston). And the worst thing in the end, you have to buy drugs or make money against radiation or injuries, buy weapons, armor and ammunition that you can modify .... and then of course create your settlements and take care of them ..... game it has no end but more alternatives.
If you guys like killing dinosaurs down or being the dinosaurs themselves, i recommend Primal Carnage: Extinction, though not based around the Jurassic Park franchise, it's a multiplayer first person (for humans) and third person (for dinosaurs). You can be a trapper, sniper or flamethrower, and more as humans! and of course you can be a Tyrannosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Spinosaurus, Cryolophosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Velociraptor, Pteranodon, Carnotaurus, and so much more as dinosaurs!
and also it's A LOT of action!

Well the first evolution game had a story that had BD Wong, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Jeff Goldblum helping you out as you tried to make parks on the 5 deaths, and the 2nd one picks up right where Fallen Kingdom leaves off and leads into Dominion where the Dinosaurs are loose on the mainland and there is also a mode called chaos theory mode that lets you play whatif scenarios from the movies
The Return to Jurassic Park dlc for the first one has you go back to isla nublar with Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum to rebuild Jurassic Park set a little bit after the first movie
The What If scenarios from the movie is biggest game changing selling point for us 😀
They released the full prologue of Jurassic World: Dominion

you guys seemed a little bit surprised to see colorful dinosaurs and ones with a beak,so it's clear that,as many other people,you don't know much about their world in terms of Paleontology,so let me,a dino nerd,explain:
we use to say "dinosaurs are non-avian birds and birds are avian dinosaurs" and that is quite literal,dinosaurs are not only birds ancestors,they evolved into birds,which means dinosaurs aren't really extinct,they are all around us,birds are Theropods(the clade of carnivore dinosaurs)Coelosaurus,and,as you may know,birds are very colorful,so,being them dinosaurs and vice-versa,it's strongly believed that most of dinosaurs were colorful as well,but that remains a theory,unfortunately,we will never be able to travel through time or clone dinosaurs,DNA is too old and too consumed.
Thanks to the fossils tho,we have the proof that not only many had a beak but also actual feathers,as well as protofeathers.
Now,out of curiosity,what movies exactly did Bethany see? Just the first two Jurassic Park,all of the three or all of them,including the Jurassic World ones? Because she was clearly confused on why there were dinosaurs in California and not in Costa Rica,that's kinda a huge spoiler

And I don’t remember the latest one at all tbh. The confusion on why park in Cali was more of a “didn’t they learn their lesson from Lost World when they tried putting a park in San Diego?” 😝🤗

On June 22 2022,the last Jurassic World chapter will be out(Dominion),so,in the occasion of that,you can rewatch the past two movies or all of them to prepare for it.
Also,since last year,the movies canon is being expanded a lot more thanks to a Netflix animated series,Camp Cretaceous,I recommend that as well,it's so good,it reunited basically all the fans who hated Fallen Kingdom and the ones who loved it,I've seen that happen only one time before with The Mandalorian.
The series is now of 3 seasons composed by 8 episodes,with the third of 10,24 minutes circa long,and the fourth one is arriving on December 3,the trailer just dropped yesterday
Ark park is a VR experience of feeling like being there. As a studying paleontologist, I actually can say it's good, the first Jurassic world was good, haven't played second yet, fun Dino fact all games and movies mis interpretate dinosaurs egypticus as it was not a carnivore it was actually discovered their diet is indeed fish.
Love hearing thoughts on this franchise and games from paleontologists (and future paleontologists 😊)

Its short but you play as somone working for clair under a gov devision whos job is to get the dangerous dinosours who running around the world and put them in safe enclosures
On the team but yes in challenge mode you build a park hire scientists take on contracts you have money and have to sell tikets and hole u dont go bankrupt
You dont build for build sake u build to either enclose dangerous dinosours in campaign
Or to sell tikets in challenge
Also the next update coming this marhc adds a first person mode so you qill be able to go around your park but it wouldnt be action getting chanced more going for a drive in the gyrospheres or walking sround the park

One of the issues with the first game is for all the trailers you saw, that was all paid DLC. The game plus everything you saw is still $100 on Steam and that is with a discount for buying everything. Now they already have a new game out with day 1 DLC for an extra $18.
Most people just put a bunch of Dinos in a pen and made them have a battle royale lol.

Are y'all going to play the dlc for Jurassic world evolution return to Jurassic Park and the demonoin dlc for Jurassic world evolution 2, also I Jurassic world evolution 2, there is the campaign and chaos theory, and In both, there is challenge mode.
Before the demonoin dlc that cost $20, the chaos theory was better than the campaign, it still better, but i hope y'all can play the chaos theory in Jurassic world evolution 2, also did y'all watch Jurassic world camp the peorid that ended 65 million years ago, the finale season is coming littery in a month, today is the 21st, I will come out on the 21 of July, ok 2 days befor my birthday, and I still suprise that it got that pg rating, becute all deaths are off screen, you still get to hear the bones crunch, also it cannon, 6 teens survive a island that is fill with dinosaurs, and audauts can't survive a couple of seconds of meeting a dinosure face to face, sesone 3 is the best.
