- SLEEPING in CONTACT LENSES: What's worst that can happen?
A contact lens related infection can be emergency level sight threatening so be aware of the risks before you make your decisions!
Pseudomas aeruginosa is one nasty bug that can perforate your eyes in 48 hours. Yikes!

In Europe we have lenses what to wear 30 days straight without need to take them out, what to you think about that?
THANX DUDE!!!!
No worries !!!
I have been looking into how to recycle contact lens since I seen this video last - I just started wearing contacts (a month ago or so), can't find any info on recycling Contacts - I have found that you can recycle the blister packs they come in.
I wear the Acuvue Oasys 1-Day would love to have more information on recycling them - I live Washington State (US).
They're a few grams of material, not that much to recycle. No one bothers doing it.
I never knew contact lenses can be recycled. And can you make a video on lasik/PRK/ laser eye surgery?
Thanks for the suggestion! 👍
I have the same blood vessel structure as your patient probably because I have been sleeping with my lenses in regularly. You said that he recoverd, what was his recover time and did your patient have to avoid doing things. Like wearing contacts Al together of use medicine. I would love to know. I have made an appointment with my Docter but waiting list sucks. So hope you see my question so I can have a head in my recovery.
I slept with mine in last night. This morning my vision was drastially impaired. I took out the lense and cleaned my eye but vison is still bad. een with the lense back in.
What was the treatment plan for the patient u described?
Have you done a glasses before contacts video? Which one is better?
I believe they have their own strengths and weaknesses but that’s a great idea thanks!
My optometrist said it was ok to keep using monthly contacts beyond 30 days while skipping days of usage. Are u call him a quack? Please give me a serious answer.
I get that sleeping at night with contacts all night could be dangerous, but what about a 1-hour nap during the day?
What about if you have Night & Day Contacts that are FDA-approved for sleeping
Shouldn't hurt to but not recommended ;)
Well, I've had the same pair in for....not 2 days, not 2 months....2 Years!! I've never taken them out, I'm about to... Cross your fingers
Hmmm... I would ask you how your eyes are, but you're probably blind at this point so you couldn't read the question... Hey-oh.
Also can you do one showing how contacts really work
How do you mean?
@@AntonioTheOptom if I’m near sighted what do the contacts do to make me see far away?
@@DelannaLeonard oh hahah I’ve already done that but for glasses, I guess the principles are the same
We did not need lenses information if we slept then what to do tell this please
Sorry I don’t understand the question 😢
i had the same contact lenses in for over 2 years once. didnt take them out a single time. and have been sleeping in my lenses for around 10 years. will return when my eyes fall out.
😨😰
Is it safe to meditate with contacts?
You are increasing your risk by a small amount, so technically it isn’t 100% safe
i wear monthly lens but i keep falling aslp in bus or train ride... 20-30 min hmmm...
20-30 mins should be okay 😆
@@AntonioTheOptom Hey, would around 20-30 minutes with daily lenses be okay too?
@@unrelatedchannel2401 yea I don’t see an issue 😁
I slept in lenses and now my vision is not clear what to do?
Go see an optometrist!
I accidentally slept in mine. Did your vision get clear again?
I just woke up and it's a little clowdy. Did you go to optometrist or did it just clear up on its own
Tell me what happened
Won't even bother putting those things into my eyes. And then freaking my eyes out, worst sleeping with them. Nope!
Contact lenses are not THAT bad 🤣
You are right, my apologies, they are just the worst! Lol, that's just my opinion still. Just don't like that feeling of any foreign in my eyes 👀
I used to think so but when i actually tried it, i changed my mind
hey man, how about taking a 30 minute nap the contact lenses on.....?
I've been sleeping with monthly lenses for more than 10 years. I put them on, wear them 24 hours a day for an entire month or more, then I throw them away, put on the next new pair and so far I haven't had any problems at all, never = )
🤞🤞
so if I just take a nap with them should fine then I guess?
