Hey Linus, thanks for the great review. I watched it a couple of weeks ago (end of 2019) and still decided to buy it. All the features, HW and battery life made it a perfect deal, especially that it can now be picked up for 69 EUR on amazon :-D I was actually hesitating between the GTR model and this one. I chose Pace over GTR because of the transreflective LCD, GPS accuracy and battery life. However the aluminum alloy version of GTR is still the best looking smartwatch on the market, the pace rocks android, can be rooted, and the always on display is an important selling point. Using it since almost a month, the pace indeed provides 4-5 days of battery life, convenient to wear and looks really nice. Thanks again for the helpful review!

The watch itself is awesome with all these features. I really love to wear it and battery life is outstandanding. The only thing i really dislike is, by now, the fact that it has limited options to share the watch data with the Smartphone. Strava implementation is cut down to the basics, not even the gps track is transmitted. I also miss a proper connection to e.g. google fit to have steps, calories and sleep synced. Maybe future update will bring all those implementation.

I have one important question I haven't find answer for yet. The tracked activity (e.g. runing) can be exported to with full gps and hr data to some format, or synced with other tracking apps like runkeeper, runtastik, nike run, strava ... ??? I have the Mi Band 2 and the only feature i hate (apart of not having the built in GPS) is that i am unable to export/sync the data with other trackers. I think Xiaomi in this sport tracking is way behind from other brands.

I purchased this watch in November, and made connection in January. It worked with bluetooth on my Iphone 6 but would not connect with WIFI. I tried several times and complained to Xiaomi Sales. As such, I could only use the watch for checking the time. It would not accept upgrades, GPS was not working, Music was not working, and after a while battery life was down to 30 hours. I complained to the supplier but they indicated that the guarantee period was only 3 months. Today I received the following message : "If the problems remain, please make a video of the problem and upload it on You Tube and then give us the link and then we shall ask our technicians to help you. If you have a problem, dont think of getting a solution. Just trow it in the trash can. Per Goller

it falls way behind due to the fact the app does not show any stats, you have to view everything on the watch. I just use it to know my steps and Strava for running. The rest is too much hassle to track, you cant show or share so I do not bother apart from Strava. The watch is really awesome, i mean it is really good but the app is so limited and lets it down unless you like to view everything on a tiny screen all the time.

On my phone the app overrides the App permissions. I'm just trying to find out if you had ever seen something similar. Please reply if you have the chance to test this. Here's an important caveat to know before buying it, US support is non-existent. If you have an issue, expect to be ignored. I have tried every avenue possible to contact these people and zilch. Spend your money elsewhere.

I might be weird, but IMO a handsfree call option on a watch is completely unnecessary if it isn't SIM-card compatible.
