    this stuff and all your effort and the community effort is some frontier work. Making HV battery easy usable in 2nd life, will bring many positive impact in the future of energy grids.

      Dogs can do it too, the only cable my dogs have ever destroyed, was the most expensive cable in the house (Macbook old style Magsafe cable that was only available with the 99e power brick).

    Hi, my2018 leaf stoped charging showed loads of codes on obd but didnt show isolation, i reset codes it worked for a week now same, what do you think the problem is?

    would it also be possible to run an completely different pack in a car when the voltages match ?
    maybe a custom pack as an addition to the existing vehicle battery ?
    i'm thinking about converting a vw electric delivery vehicle to a bigger battery that is also charged and accessed by a hybrid inverter.

    Hi Dala the great! That should be what everyone calls you after this marvelous work! Got a Deye 15kW up and running with a 64kWh Kia-battery yesterday. Just one question, how do you access the webserver? I have the emulator creating a network that I can connect to, but then what?

      Usually gets ip 192.168.4.1 with direct connection!

      @@DalasEVRepair THANKS! I must have been blind! Works great now, apart from "Automatic contactor closing allowed: Battery" has a red cross. But it works and charges and discharges so not going to bother...

    Dala, with Nissan shutting down the data connection in older leafs meaning we can no longer remotely see state of charge, start changing or climate control I'm wondering if it is possible to do these things via the can bus and if so can an ESP32 or something else allow for Bluetooth/WiFi control of the systems?

    Hello from Vaasa, watch you project with hight interest. How you think is it emulation of BMW i3 will work for BMW hybrid battery or MINI hybrid battery. Reason I ask they aforteble and I expect shod use same Can bus commands and addresses?

      No clue yet! But hybrid batteries usually aren't a good buy, they are very expensive, and you only get a few kWh. If you don't have the battery yet, much better to go for a 64kWh Kia/Hyundai battery!

    Hello, you can help the Nissan Leaf 1 gen community to recover the remote connection with the Nissan app
    connect EV? In many countries they have decided to close the service because the 2G network disappears (here in Spain it remains operational until 2030), I know that there are alternatives such as OVMS v3, but is there a way to continue using the original TCU and send commands by SMS? You are our savior :(

    Would only the used EV batteries get cheaper, single LiFePo cells got cheap, under 75€/kWh for new parts with warranty from NL. Wholesale in China is 45€/kWh plus shipping and tax. Would really like to get a 400V or 800V EV pack, but they are far over 100€/kWh for a used pack often in unknown condition

      It is coming, but I got caught up with the more interesting Double-Battery feature! The code already supports LEAF PDMs and Chevy Volt chargers!

      Can this board clear the BMW lockout feature from rough crashes??
      Also might be able to get you CAN messages from a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV for a full home hybrid Idea I had.?!

    Hi Dala I have a leaf question for you. My 62kwh leaf has recently been dropping its hx value on leafspy. Noticed it started to tank when I left the car sitting at 50% for 10 days. When I came back from that trip I started using it as normal and it slowly’s been dropping from 103+ to 98.42 :(
    What does this mean and how can I improve that value? Thought I’d ask since you are the biggest leaf expert I know of. Thank you!

      HX means internal resistance. Once the battery ages, the internal resistance in the battery increases (and the HX value goes down). Nothing to worry about, LEAFs are operating even with 25% of the original value!

    Dala, great content! You have got to be one of the smartest people I know. So, I have to ask, will you be working 😅 on a Sol-Ark 15kPV or EG4-18K to pair w/ either Leaf(62) or Tesla(85-100) batts?

      Hi Mark, both those inverters are low voltage 48V, so they wont work with EV packs. I suggest you go with something like a Solis, Fronius, Foxess, or any other inverter that you can find that is on the compatible list. Check the Github wiki for more info!

    Hey Dala, is the two battery for 200kwh the physical limit? what if 2 200kwh batteries from chevy vehicles for 400kwh?
