Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorial. I'm fairly new to crocheting hats, and find your voice very soothing, your instructions very clear and your choice of yarn extremely genius. I also greatly appreciate that you don't play silly elevator music, I like the silence as you complete your work, makes it much easier to concentrate and follow. Again thank you, for this visual learner, I've finally found a great teacher. I've subscribed and hope to be able to make many of your designs as my goal is to keep making hats, gloves and scarves and donate it to those who need it the most in my community.
I love textured stitches. I am a newer crocheter .I was able to follow your tutorial.( Your a great teacher) Your camera quality on seeing the stitches was great! Your sound was clear. I could hear your yarn gilding through your hook each time. I will be looking at your another videos now. I am subscribed to your channel. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I'm happy that you found the tutorial helpful and thank you for subscribing :)
I made this with a #5 Bulky yarn and a 6mm hook. I ended with 54 rows of SC BLO for my 19” brim. I added a yarn Pom Pom. It turned out great! Thank you for the tutorial.
love the rib pattern of the brim instead of the usual sc in other hats. Will be making this hat for my donations. Thanks for sharing, Sarah.
Wow you made your waffle stitch hat completely the opposite & accomplished the same! Beautiful❣️. Thank you so much!
I really love this waffle stitch and it looks really good in hat form. I have only ever seen it in scarf form up until now. Thank you for this video tutorial.
You have a nice calm voice and your tutorials are easy to follow...great job 👍
Loving this so far! It's worked in multiples of 9? I should have done the gauge test but I didn't.. so I went back and decreased it from 81 down to 72 stitches and it's fitting my adult head much better now. I want to try making this again using a fuzzy yarn and I will definitely be doing a gauge.
Yeaaaah. Mines HUGE atm. I will have to undo EVERYTHING that I ahve done so far. 😭😭😭😭
I don't know how to do a guahe check for those videos. Most of them don't have a link to a pattern with all that info 😞
Just finished mine!! Love it! Great tutorial! Thanks 😊
It was easy too follow the method of doing this beautiful beanie. Stitch pattern used for it looks beautiful.Great share.
I loved working this beanie with you! Great instructions, with known error, and an easy stitch for beginners to move into intermediate! Thank you so much.
Very pretty and thank you for sharing your skills to crochet this hat, I appreciate your video showing how each round of stitch’s , it’s easy to learn from you . Thank you
Just made a beautiful beanie following your instructions ❤️💓💓
Love all your tutorials. Thank you 😊
You are so welcome!
È bellissimo ed è proprio quello che cercavo..... Ti adoro!!!!! 👍👍👍💪💪💪💪
I made one but with thinner yarn. But came out pretty good. Had to add rows according to height. Thanks for the video.
Wish I could share photo...
I loved this! Very clear instructions!
I just realized that by the time I got to the decrease row I had messed up …. Now I have to undo the entire body of the hat
I finished my hat! Thank you it turned out so good. I couldn’t find a Pom-Pom any where. Our Michael’s only had one ....wrong color. But love my hat!!?
I finally finished this hat And it came out beautifully 😍 thank you
Looks fairly simple. I think I'll try it.
I love your tutorials! I am not😮a beginner at crochet but I had never made a beanie. I have viewed several other tutorials and tried their beanies with instructions. When I found yours I was so excited! Your instructions are clear and easy to follow and your videos show your work perfectly! Thank you so much for you time and excellent instructions. I am on my 3rd beanie each a different pattern!
Really nice! I'm just wondering if my husband will wear that 🤔! I know I would. Thanks, I enjoyed this.
You’re welcome :)
A great video and good instructions! Thanks my beanie came out perfect
Great hat and explanation, just found you here and subscribed. Thanks
Thank so much! I'm glad you like the hat and thank you for subscribing!
Thanks for your pattern....I like your pattern and i make one for me..
Thanks for your time. I am definitely going to try this hat
You’re welcome and enjoy :)
I was wondering if it could be made into messy bun hat. Waffle stitch is one of my favorites. I have enjoyed your tutorials. Thank you.
It can! Simply leave off the final round of stitches :)
Incredible, thanks for sharing 💕
Great job !!
hi Sarah I'm working double crochet and slip stitch
If I repeat rows 3 and 4 four more times, that’s not rows 5-9, isn’t it rows 5-12? I love the pattern, I don’t want to mess it up. Thanks - Cindy
Hello! Yes there is a problem in the row count :) I've added a note in the description and updated the written pattern. Thank you!
your Crocheting is so pretty!
Thank you :)
I love your hat patterns! I bought two of them and I see more that I love!!!!
If I crochet tight, should I go up a hook?
How would i go about making this hat smaller like for a kid does anyone know?
Thanks for the hat. I am started it. Usually when decrease i use a invisible decrease. Please is it going to leave holes in the top
thank you
Hi. I hope you will see my comment. I did this hat but as i crocheted my way in, it got bigger and bigger. Not sure why, but i hope i will get an answer ☺️
Is this yarn equivalent to arran weight in the UK please. Its so confusing as in the UK the dominant yarn is DK but it looks thinner than what you are using. I've lost count of the projects I've abandoned because it's obvious it looks too small. Lovely hat by the way.
Well explained, thanks so much. Your voice is very calming and inspiring. What kind of brand of crochet hook are you using? Please could you post link where I can purchase it? Thanks and remain blessed 🌹
Hi Sarah.. This was explained so beautifully.. I'm gonna try my hands at this but want a piece of advice. I want to make this with a little slouch. At which row should I start my decrease?? Also if the circumference of the head is 57 how many Half double crochet should I do. I always get confused with the 81 or 84 count you say as I'm an amateur and trying to make the most of this lockdown.
And yeah. I finished the Elizabeth stitch beanie. However, towards the top, got confused with the stitch.. but still my niece loved it. 😅Love you for your work.. wish I could attach a pic of it🙂🙂
Hi.. pls reply.
Love your video and wondering What size does this hat fit?
Awesome
I did half doubles for the base/brim.
Should I still use the Slip stitch to close it or use half double crochet to close it up in a round?
I loved your video! I can’t wait to try this one day! How do you attach the Pom ball to the hat?
If you make the rim longer than 19" is it still gonna end up being 81 half double crochets at the beginning first round?
thank youu!💓
What is the repeat on this hat? I want to use a 3 weight yarn, rather than a 4 weight. I think that it'd make a beautiful hat in a 3 weight.
Hello from Greece!I would like to ask what is the height of the beanie from the beginning of the waffle stitch till befor the decreases, because I have chosen a differnt yarn.
Please explain chain 20 or extra... how much size
Love your tutorial! what brand is your hook and where did you get it?
This is a wooden streamline hook by Furls crochet
💯💯💯💯
Please is 19inches for adult size? What’s the size for child 7-10yrs old? Thanks 😊
Easy to follow, I like your hook. Where did you buy it?
This one is a maple hook by KnitBrooks :)
@@RichTexturesCrochet thanks I will check it out.
Error noted but what confuses me is in what is referred to as Round 13 you say FPDC only around DC 2 tog then video cuts to next round without showing that row actually worked so I'm lost.
Well now it's continuing so it must have been a glitch in my playback. Sorry!
Idk what it is. But every time I follow a tutorial video, my stuff ends up so much bigger than what it's supposed to be. I've been. Rochetong for 30+ years and it's always been like this. And I'm not a loose corcheter. Not at all. I just can't figure this out. I am using a standard Medium worsted weight 4 yarn. Red heart comfort in a creme and safe Green colour. Yet it's HUGE.
Do you have this pattern for a child's beanie?
Is it hard for you to crochet with a wooden hook? I've always wondered that.
Not at all! I love my wooden hooks! I stick with Ebony, Birch and Maple. I’m not a fan of bamboo
Love your tutorials and patterns! Can you tell me how to reduce the size by approximately 1 inch? What multiples are you using for the waffle stitch?
Thank you!
The waffle stitch has a multiple of 3.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice hook. Where did you find it?
Thanks! This is a handmade Birdseye Maple hook by @KnitBrooks :)

I want to inform you that " Crochet Hajar" is using this video of yours as their own ! I have reported this to you-tube.
so confusing
You can check out the free written pattern through the link in the description. It may help to follow along :)
That doesn’t look like how a waffle stitch supposed to look like.
